Really crappy to hear about that kind of treatment from a dealership. They should be put out of business if they don’t make it right.

I got a call back from a service manager who was very apologetic and said after looking at pics the truck should have never been released. Waiting on a call back for an update on resolution. As with my wheels being screwed up by LS, making mistakes is one thing, how it is resolved is another. I am hopeful it will work out in the positive at the end.

You mind passing on which dealership this was? I know I had a recall done on our Sienna at Beaverton Toy and they dirtied up the seats and managed to leave a socket stuck on the underside of the spare tire lowerer thingy.

Well good! I always try to give people the chance to do the right thing before I tell them that we’re not going to be ‘friends’ anymore. Glad that they are taking care of you

I'm okay w/mistakes, but there's a huge difference between a mistake and just NGAF... I think what we are seeing these days is NGAF and while that part of it is usually caused by a non-caring tech, it roots back to management having a lack of oversight and hiring turds. Kinda like dealing w/problematic children... comes from poor parenting or lack of parenting and no accountability. These days people seem content w/blaming issues on everything else and taking no responsibility for their own actions or involvement in the process  (yet they want a premium price for their product):mad: If I've gotta do all your work for you, including quality control, you should be paying me :mad::mad:

Ok, enough of my rant; carry on!!!

Just gonna chime and bitch about why mechanics, or whoever is driving it at the dealership, have to adjust the seat, change the radio station, mirrors, and mess with everything. You’re only driving it for a few minutes!

I get the seat moved all the time and I hate it but I get it because I am hobbit sized and it is necessary.

Spoke with a couple more managers this afternoon and everyone is apologetic and embarrassed. We are going to give it a shot of reinstalling and detailing early next week. Not happy, but glad they are approaching it the way they are. Mistakes are made, how you fix them says a bunch. Fingers crossed.

Now gang… they said if they could not clean to satisfaction, they would have the existing headliner reskinned vs getting a complete new factory headliner. When they said that my sphincter tightened a bit. They said Coach Accessories (from the Couv I think) does this for dealerships, has been in the biz since the ‘80s, and I would not be able to tell the difference from factory. I need some more info like, is it OEM fabric, what is warranty, etc. Has anyone done this and have any input before we get there? Last thing I want is to go out on a hot summer day in 5 years and have the fabric hanging down like it did in my Bronco II in 1993. Input welcome!

    Saga continues next week!

If you’re situation was different and you had any confidence in the dealership it might be fun to negotiate for a starlight headliner.

If you get it reskinned, have them do something that will actually take Velcro patches and you can cover the headliner with morale patches

Put an airtag in your truck if you’re taking it to coach. Few years ago I bought a Challenger and had coach, who does Katzkin leather seats I believe, and when I got it back the top MPH tracker was at 103!

I forgot to post this pic. I have no idea where this is located in the sunroof frame/track, but you can see the rusty cables.

Just picked up my 2023 Platinum and have the TRD 3” lift kit in the garage and was wondering who you’ve used dealer wise for installation? and what it’s running cost wise. Live in Snohomish and work in Marysville was gonna call Marysville Toyota in the am and Rodland as well. Thanks

Cannot help you with the install; don’t have enough dealership experience to recommend any of them. But welcome to the forum and our little corner.

Please post pics and details about the lift when you have it all done. I’d be very tempted to have the dealership install one if I was buying a new Tundra.

Have some FUEL bronze wheels and was thinking 285/75R18 or 305/70R18 either the Toyo AT III of the tried and true BFG All Terrains. Talon cat shield showed up today so I’ll put that on this week and wheels should be here this week as well. Loving the truck so far, a lot of tech in these trucks.

I had to call several dealerships and shops before one would just put on front Bilstein 5100 that I bought separately. They wanted me to buy what they had in stock. I’m on the East side of the state so not as many options. Good luck.

    Hey....

You may want to PM the guy that did this post: 1
    @R2theD2

It looks like he may be in your area. Not sure who did his set up, but if it was done by a dealer maybe he can point you in the right direction...

If any of you guys are looking for an ARB dual compressor, I’m going to post mine up soon if a buddy takes a pass on buying it. Decided the install is not worth the effort or stress.

    Stay tuned…
