That will definitely exceed the payload limit of your Tundra (well the tub and your 6' 12" self)

    I suggest a trailer

Someone's greasing the sale up a bit ;)

"It’s a 2019 model and seems to be a pretty spendy one from the research I have done."

I don’t think it would fit in a bed unless it was on its side.

Redneck hot tub! That would be fun. Just get an old flatbed and we will strap it down and fill it up. Could make for a fun road trip. :D

snow again last night. Temperatures for this week have been in the 20’s every year for the last 5 years. We’re always getting anxious to put out the mason bees but need to be patient. I enjoy seeing the daffodils in the snow though!

This is that time of year that’s always unpredictable. I’m dying to dewinterize my trailer. Last year I did it before the big pollen dump and paid the price. That stuff is cement after it gets wet. This year I am waiting and so we get a cold and wet spring. Murphy!

The cherry flowers were super late this year (April vs February sometimes) and most of the maple trees have just barely started to get buds. Had a few nice days though, makes you appreciate a sunny day haha.

Status update. The big tree is at the dealer since Tuesday, waiting for parts. The tech confirmed the binding, took out the motor assembly, found rust in sprocket grease. He called HQ to clarify it TSB is applicable to MY22 (I brought TSB printed with me), they will send a whole new sunroof frame assembly with new cables.

    upload_2023-4-14_10-45-10.jpg

So I think what happened is we've had a couple of snow storms, followed by warm days and freezing nights. Wife is sitting with the baby at home, not driving it even once a week. The roof froze in one giant ice chunk, I could not clean it until it melted enough. The water penetrated past the rubber seals, flooded the drains, froze down there, flooded it the next day again and everything was sitting in water now.

Lesson learned: tape sunroof for the winter.

In cold climate Toyota feels a bit subpar when compared to old Volvo (the ones designed by Swedes, not Ford or Geely era junk). I never knew winter can be a problem for a vehicle until we've got Volvo XC60 (based on Ford Edge) and now Tundra and Sequoia follow the course. Tundra does not have a sunroof, which, is good, but the door seals still froze in the morning.

Also, how many of you have done a drain and fill for transmission? I called three local dealerships and all said I don’t need to. I told them I tow and go off road and they still said no.

I do them every 30K, usually drain, fill, cycle, drain, fill. Bought the truck at 36K and it's going strong at 165K now.

Yes, I do them myself. I have access to Techstream, so I connect and follow the procedure to check the fluid level after drain/fill. Typically I overfill just a little bit, so when I set the level, I'm draining off, not adding.

I've always done drain and fills (not flushes) every 60k or 6 years w/Toyota ATF WS only, but that's me...

How many miles are on your truck? I’ve never known a dealership to turn down work. The Youtube toyota guy (Toyota car care?) recommends every 60k for towing.

I’m thinking about doing it this summer as I approach 40k miles. Think a drain is about 4ish quarts and the tranny holds almost 12, so seems like a dump and fill is a good idea.
