    I've never been there in the winter, but Leavenworth in general is just a beautiful area.
    If you do a summer trip, I would recommend a loop - go out Highway 20 (North Cascades highway) from west to east, then come back Highway 2 from east to west.

    It is worth the drive if you like a big Christmas holiday theme. Hit up their webcams after dark. The entire town is lit up and stunning. The town is small but has lots of foodie restaurants and tourist type shops.

    We go every year during the holidays

    We’ve got some warmer air moving in with this one so at least at my house we are going to get some snow that turns into rain. Going to have a big slushy mess this weekend! I think they are calling a foot+ at 3500’ and higher though.
