I like your style man! I was soooo close to putting a deposit on a GFC like 4 years ago for my Tacoma. Saw them at the NW Overland Rally and thought, man they really hit the nail on the head. I was following some of the first generation issues and production issues, but I think they got it all squared away.

    Too many mods to come

They're great. And they fix any issues. For example they upgraded hinge designs on the V1. They drove around the country and replaced the hinges on customers units for free.

Hey Reywcms, You and your dad's builds are super cool and we appreciate you guys. Let your dad know we appreciate his support from a Baja Designs standpoint. It's always nice to see such nice builds running our lights.
    Best,

How would you guys compare the trd skid plate vs aftermarket? I really like the silver with the red trd logo but if it’s not as strong than not worth the almost same price.

Compared to what? The TRD plate is beefy. It isn’t thin aluminum and doesn’t bend. I think it will hold up against most off-roading until you get to the “hold my beer” speeds.

Haha good cause I think it looks the best as well. Thanks for spending my money haha ordering now.

Edit: looks like they don’t clear LCAs skid plates and need to be cut. Damn it!

Ya I was looking on victory 4x4 for their LCA skids and it mentioned, “Trimming required for TRD skid”. Lame but it is what it is.

Camping at Goldendale/Maryhill and did some running around. Ran into a Corvette group at Stonehenge and a car show at the Museum that we did not know was going on. I swear my truck thinks it is a sports car as it keeps finding random sport car clubs. Last time it was a Porsche club.

Seriously though, you should've just pulled right into the show, popped your hood open, and sat there like you owned the place!!!!

Funny you mentioned that. I pull in and the attendant says “you can’t be here.” My wife looks across at her and says to me, “keep going.”

I once had a cop that pulled me over walk up to my window and say, “we heard you were in the area”.
    I said, “no shit Sherlock”
    I was only 19, I think.
That situation went seriously downhill pretty fast…
    :anonymous:
Obviously it was a case of mistaken identity

I got pulled over about the same age driving north on I5 near Weed. Pulled over for tailgating a cop. Got the whole ‘you got somewhere to go’ from the silver aviators and I just said it was a 65 and you were going too slow. Nope it was 55 and you are getting written up. I replied then why does that sign (100 feet up the road) say 65 mph?

True story. Not gonna lie. No joke!

Seriously I walked away from a tailgating a cop 30 years ago with no more than an angry look. Also, I love cops. My neighbor is one and I respect the hell out of what they put up with.
