Oh man! My daughter would love that. Being as we don’t have tournaments till late July that could have worked. Looks like a blast.

 

My kid is pissed that we can’t go. Instead we are camping at Fort Stevens because you have to reserve like a year out and momma is being a bear. Oh well.

 

I got out of the Marine Corps in 2013. In 2012 I was in the best shape of my life. I was 30. I would run circles around most people(maybe not younger Marines lol) could do 30 strict pull-ups no problem. Our new XO was a powerlifter and a freaking beast! I was hooked but had to “watch” my weight. After I got out I eventually started training solely in PL’ing. I hit the 600# DL and a few weeks later at work I injured my back again. Everything since then has been a crap shoot. I’m currently trying to just stay active. I have been doing functional fitness stuff for like 4 months. I would be down to do one of these ocr eventually, but I’m in no spot currently to do so. Maybe that would be a good goal for 2023. I think they look fun.

 

If I remember right, it was ~$6k for the SC, and typically another $1k for install. But I'm getting old and my memory isn't so good any more.

 

Found a brand new Magnuson install kit at a smoking price. Snagged it up, just need the blower....

I blame you all for this.

Talking with several NW Toyota dealers, trying to secure a hybrid Highlander. It's not easy to give your money to dealers these days.

Well the shop that did the rebuild I spoke to will warranty any potential issues so thats cool

 

So they won’t just take a deposit and call you in 2-6 months when something shows up?

The dealer closest to me (Wenatchee) won't, each salesman has their own list of customer vehicle requests. The day the allocation list comes out, every salesman scrambles to make their calls. I'm on a list there.

Parker Toyota in CdA won't take deposits from anyone outside of 100 miles from them to give the locals a shot, I can appreciate that. They were really nice there.

I-5 Toyota in Chehalis was really cool too, I might end up going there. They require an in-person meeting to talk vehichle preferences/specs. Put a deposit down and wait.

Or, I can try and factory order a '23 when the time comes. There's a couple minor changes I wouldn't mind.

FUCK I-5 Toyota in Chehalis. Those guys were smarmy pricks when I was looking for my Pro. Olympia was really easy to deal with though, and weren't trying to push a $10k "market adjustment" (mind you - this was October 2020, before things got really strange).

From what I heard it is much lower upload than the more powerful big home antenna but they will ship it out to you on demand no waitlist stuff (maybe a stop-gap?). I saw it quoted at 100 some odd mbs down and about 5 up.

 

in the journey of looking at things this past week, I about shit when I saw the price on 4-6 year old RAV4's with 50-80k miles on them! Like $5k+ more than a brand new one of comparable trim.

 

Ordered. Delivered. Attempted to install. My playschool floor jacks were too short. Gotta rent time at a local U-mechanic shop.

 

That’s why your dealer wanted to go straight across on your truck for a ‘22. OEMs get pissed if dealerships scalp customers on new rigs, but the used market is a rapefest

Next time you're down our way, we can pull it into my MIL's shop. I picked up one of those 4-ton jacks from HF. Combined with some jack stands and extra blocking, it was a quick job.

 

Yeah - I was leery with all the statements about "if you're not in a service area then we may not provide service" or whatever it said. I'm still tempted to just change the service address to my parent's house and get the big dish coming.

 

Interesting, maybe they got their shit turned around cuz they were proudly offering msrp on everything.
