Wife joined me with a beverage as well. Had some good chats about the “State of Chit” and agreed to “enhance” a few things. Also gave me an opportunity to inform her of a few packages arriving soon. Cuz I’d already done some semi-panic buying. Cleared that hurdle…but no more truck toys this year.

Nice! I enjoy those chill evenings and making a plan. I just bought a new CV axle and brakes for all 4 corners. The only thing else I might get this year for the truck is a new skid plate. Other than that funds are going to family vacation and house projects. I guess I’ll have to wait for that sweet exhaust sound until next year unless I can find a money tree.

@20GR8 Super did you go with CVJ for a lift? curious if that's the case, what lift you're running and mileage you have on it with OE axles.

As well no more toys for the truck this year - have to get the bike done, and the recent visit to the shop for scheduled maintenance might nix that plan too (ended up having to rebuild the front calipers on the Valk on top of regular full fork maintenance - labor ain't cheap up here - I thought just a brake/clutch flush would do it but apparently the pistons were seized :()

I decided to not go CVJ and just get the NAPA with the lifetime warranty. The truck was lifted when I bought it but I upgraded to Fox 2.5's up front with Camburg UCA's and Fox 2.0's in the rear about 8 months ago. I'm only running them with a few of the threads showing on the coilovers to minimize the lift. Just enough to clear the 35's through the entire travel. Probably close to 3" up front and 2" in the back over stock. When I had all of that installed, I put in a diff drop kit and a new CV on the drivers side that was ripped. Dummy move but I replaced it with one from rock auto. Probably the last thing I ever buy from there. I've never had an issue with the passenger side and hasn't been replaced to my knowledge or previous owners knowledge. I'm going to try the NAPA with lifetime because it was only $100. If that doesn't work, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. NAPA also has an option for higher angles that are about half the price of the CVJ. I can't justify the cost of the CVJ's yet unless I am out rallying my truck every day.

Its been a while since I have been in here. Things didn't pan out the way I wanted at work. Long story. Anyway looks like the Tundra will be leaving in a few weeks. I love the truck just tired of the freaking gas.

So I will be posting some stuff up for sale.So far I have the following:
-SCS 18x9 SR8's in Matte Dark Bronze. 4 with black lugs. Only one was opened for a picture.
-Alluminum oil filter housing, Fumoto valve, 5 oil filters.
    -Stock brand new air filter.
-Stock exhaust section(leaving the DD 6" on the truck)
-BD Squadron Pro fog light kit. Only been on the truck a few weeks.

Let me know if anyone is interested in anything. I will try to be fare. Not looking to price gouge anybody. Just get back some reasonable cash.

Ill probably hang around as we still have the 4R and I am sure that modding will continue.

Sorry to hear of troubles. I will take the oil filter housing and air filter if that works out ok.

we'll keep ya around - I mean I guess we could tolerate a 4R rolling around with the rest of the beasts at get togethers ;)

I do miss my 4R (and kick myself for trading it after doing a decent amount of work on it) and they're yotas still so will go for 1M+ miles. Best of luck with work, any new/future rig planning, and for sure stick around :fistbump:

Yeah that will work out ok.

Oh it’s going to be fine. Just didn’t make sense to keep the truck now.
Yes I bought the new car yesterday. It is due in by the end of the month. I got a new Outback Wilderness.

I am going to try and get some pictures of everything and post a for sale thread sometime today. I’m also trying to sell the wife’s stock 4R wheels/tires today and run usual grocery store errands before back to work tomorrow.

Awesome! I couldn’t believe how much I actually liked that thing. I have never driven a car with the auto shutoff thing. I thought I killed it while leaving the lot.

At least Subaru and Toyota are like . I guess that Solterro has straight TSS in it.

Yeah, they're pretty sweet cars. I have put it through all kinds of stuff and I have came away impressed every time. I don't like auto shutoff and disable it every time I start the vehicle. :D The gas mileage is decent as long as you're not a speed demon. Honestly I'm probably a fool for considering getting rid of it considering how great it is but I just can't seem to stay away from trucks. If I was in the position to have 2 vehicles I would definitely be keeping it.

I will probably do the same. My commuting is about 95%highway so trying to stay on that upper end of the mileage.
I have had a truck/suv since 2007’ish when I sold my mustang as I didn’t need a fast car and a sport bike in San Diego.

I noticed the MPGs drop fairly quickly as speed increases. Like at 61mph depending on the terrain I get about 26/27 mpg but if I bump the speed to 71mph it drops to about 23. Still better than a Tundra though lol. Also, I forgot to ask! What color did you get?

I’ll keep that in mind. My morning is usually around 61 and nobody is out. The afternoon is like 71 and I’m pushing cars out of my way lol. I got white. I test drive the Autumn green one and that looked better then I thought. But they only had a white coming in. It was one of my choices so just went with it.

Traditionally I don't like white vehicles but I really like the white wilderness. I wanted the geyser blue but didn't want the sunroof and rear automatic emergency braking package so I ended up with black which I still like.

I like the black as well. My biggest problem with that is the 4R is black. I’m not even considering trying to keep two vehicles black. I barely get help with hers.
I didn’t even see a white one till this morning. They were trying to tell me how good it looked and I figured it was just them trying to sell a car. At least they weren’t wrong. I wanted the MGM, then equally liked blue, white, and green. Basically just not silver again.

What’s up everyone? Been a busy fuhking week - barely was able to stay up to date but no time to post. In a death tube somewhere over the Dakota’s on my way home right now and looking forward to a couple nights in my own bed.

went to the Cubs / Sox game Tuesday night in Wrigley - it was 40*, 35mph winds and rain / mist in the air. It was definitely a memorable game…
