Cool! I have not flown United to Asia. Probably the only airline I haven’t flown to get there.

Flew United to Trinidad & Tobago years ago and it was a decent flight other than the aircraft being ready for a refresh. Going to Asia is another story since we have so many options. I typically try to get all my flights on airlines that have a code share with Alaska so I can dump the miles there. But Alaska has been slipping lately and I might start a mileage program with United.

Who do you like to fly? I’m typically All Nippon or Hainan when going West

I’ve flown Delta a couple times although one time was rough due to the plane and the business class service was bad. However, connections to either Cathay Pacific or Korean Air have usually been the better way to go. Both have great service based on my experience. EVA was really nice for a return trip one time when I connected in Taiwan.

I've played with my stocks a fair bit, but, I don't know that I would call myself "good" at it. I can run a multimeter with the best of them though. What issues are you having?

Well I would think it is external. Drivers side no problem. First I was going to check power to the headlight. But now that I thought about it. The DRLs work so does the turn signal. But tomorrow I will check all three wires to the connector.

Really after that I don’t know what else to do off hand. We are busy as hell at work with cruise boats repairs until end of month. I will need the time to disassemble the grill and wire looms to look at what’s there.

I would prefer a couple days off in a row before taking truck apart.

I’d recommend downloading the EWDs (link in my signature) and reviewing the circuits. Power to one light doesn’t mean another wire isn’t damaged. Just not sure why you’d think it’s not the light itself - I usually start with the aftermarket thing when trouble shooting issues…

If anyone here could use a set of stock wheels from a 2002 Tundra, I have a set I’d like to get rid of. REALLY old tires that are no good anymore due to age are on the wheels, but they’re free if anyone could use them. Figured I’d post here before I put them up for free on CL.

I’ve flown on all the major commercial airplane models except for the 787. I worked on the ultrasonic inspection of the prototype 787 barrels(fuselage), specifically the trapezoidal stringers in the fuselage as well as the production equipment. A fuselage section is one part number as the entire barrel is “cured” cooked at one time. I think there is a direct flight added to Tahiti (from SEA) that uses the 787 now.

I flew on a 380 from LA to Melbourne. I had the top level front business class.. I was surprised that there was a slight vibration all the time as it should have been smoother imo. It’s a big damn airplane, the first class bathroom is nice..

Flew on an A380 second deck business class to Asia once. Very comfortable overall.

Was lucky enough to fly on a 747 upper deck from Germany to Chicago weeks before the pandemic shut everything down. Not many chances to fly on those anymore.

Also, flew in a Dreamliner once from Taiwan home. It had a huge bathroom in business class which was nice.

I really liked the 747. My first flight from DTW to SEA in 1977 on a 747 was majical, flying between Mt. Ranier and Mt. Adams. My last one was about 20 years ago, flying from Narita to Hong Kong, it was very good but we hit turbulence that tossed the 747 around a little for a few minutes. Wind coming off from China?

Got a new furnace and A/C installed yesterday. 20 minutes after they roll out I was walking past the furnace I could smell gas. Soapy water test and they neglected to tighten a fitting. Not only did they neglect to tighten it, they never put a wrench to it. It was finger tight. I fixed it, they came back to confirm. Other than that they were great but now not sure I can trust them enough to recommend to neighbors.
