I think I just got the green light for a bed rack from the wife. We were discussing our trip back to Oregon in July for a family camping trip and to pick up our trailer. Mentioned how being able to have the cargo box on the truck would be helpful. She agreed and said I should start looking into options.

Cancelled the icon rxts so either ordering rear bumper, adv fenders, switch pros. Had a call today with pops says he wants to add the total chaos secondaries and move to the heim uppers.

So I emailed total chaos to see the cost of a full kit and lead time. Shit ain’t cheap lol plan would be I get the kit we trade uppers and get to the get down lol

We use them for work a lot. Our shop superintendent says he prefers one up by the Harley shop in Vancouver.
Only thing I don’t like about PC is that it’s not as easy to repair as paint. Not impossible though. And I think linex is going to add too much extra weight and bulk

Anyone need an arb airtank? I figured I'd offer it here before I put it up for sale.

    Had not heard of that.
Anything I get done requires really good prep. Ideally getting it sandblasted first. Not gonna be cheap though, but I want it to last longer than the truck if I can help it.

Ok - so a guy that I know (he’s the brother of the gal that my wife works for on the farm) does custom builds for people. His specialty is diesel conversions for older suburbans, excursions, etc, but he also does some pretty amazing 4x’s and restorations too. I’ve helped him out with some IT help for his business and setting up computers for him to run different CNC equipment and stuff.
Anyway, he offered to work it into one of his next orders with his powder coater as long as satin black was the color I wanted (which it is).

And he’s not gonna charge me a dime.

Where and how are you guys pulling wires thru the firewall? Was looking at the ARB compressor wire harness last night and realized I wasn’t sure how to get it into the cab

I'm extending some wiring and will be feeding the wires through by the driver foot well.

I have been looking at their racks. Looking at models that fit over a Softopper.

Dang, I have the 18" that I'm looking at getting rid of but I don't think it will fit over the soft top.

The rubber grommet on the passenger side in the firewall. Poke through it from the inside with a long stiff pointy thing and then thread your wire through like a sewing needle. It helps if you put some wire pulling lube on it.

Too much manufactured drama at work this week.
The boy is fighting good. Track is helping with his explosiveness and power.

Also looking forward to the no rain and warmer weather! Will make the soccer game for the kiddo more enjoyable tomorrow. Hopefully get to stay outside for most of the weekend and knock out some chores/projects.

I’ve got a celebration of life for our company’s previous owner tomorrow afternoon. Working on the storage/greenhouse shed and maybe some yard cleanup other than that.
One kid is out of town this week. And the other is never home between school and friends

Took the dog for a walk with the wife yesterday after work. We started talking about the weekend and meals. Some how instead of eating healthy turkey burgers we bought a chit ton of cheese from Whole Paycheck and I dug an old bottle of wine out from the cellar.

Speaking of Whole Paycheck, that company is primed (haha) for a”controlled flight into terrain” situation. We used to love shopping there for the boutique stuff. But everything is starting to get that Kroger vibe. Below average quality and boring selection. Same high prices however. The one place they do “stand out” is their staff. The people working there are absolute experts in being elitist, entitled and rude. I’ve been fighting the power on that store for a while now and the wife (the power) finally agreed to phuk-‘em.

Not sure what my weekend has in store. I really need to get started on the truck spring cleaning, but the pollen is epic right now. It just crushes my motivation. Maybe I’ll get the propane torch out and get after the weeds.

I couldn’t agree more on WF. We rarely go there anymore, if we do it’s for something very specific. Right now it’s mix of Kroger, Costco, TJ’s and PCC (mostly for my fix of Strauss ice cream).

The pollen is nuts this week. I had the roof replaced on Wednesday and Thursday. You can see the pollen all over the black roof. A couple days prior I replaced all the fascia on the house and repair some discovered rot. Fortunately there wasn’t much, considering the house is 60 years old. Needless to say, I worked “bags on” from sunrise to sundown on M-W, and my body is feeling it. Recovery times are getting a bit longer than when I was younger.

It’s always tough taking PTO to stay home and work, but it’s very rewarding in the end. We are going to continue with with some more spring cleaning while the weather cooperates this weekend.

We avoid WF unless we’re out of town and can’t find anything better.
Down here we’ve got New Seasons that is more local (though they did get bought out a few years back) but the closest one is way on the east side of Vancouver. Natural Grocers is also pretty good, but the one on our side of town always seems to be out of stuff (it’s a pretty small one). We never got into TJ - there weren’t any in Vancouver and I wasn’t going to drive into Portland for groceries.
