    That's awesome.
Yeah, no doubt I'm changing it early. I only put on 10-12k a year so I don't mind the extra expense.

    Motivx for the win!

With the miles you drive, 10k goes fast. Every sample I’ve tested from every vehicle show today’s oil can go 10k easily, even when towing. I’ve gone 7,500-8,000 occasionally but my OCD cannot handle going much longer. I keep it at 5k because it makes it easy to track just watching the odometer and if I have to skip a change I’m covered.

I really should try to go 10k at some point. That could be a full year…

What you fellars running for oil? I plan to stick to the Toyota branded stuff for now.

    Got these in yesterday…

    Nice.
I worry about the longevity of the anodized hardware - I doubt they are anything but aluminum.

on oil - I bought Mobile1 0w20 locally, that’s what I always ran in my 2008. Was like $37 for a 5-qt…I need to find a regular source for it.

Look good! Where did you get those?

Pennzoil Platinum right now. I've got enough for 18 months but I might switch to Schaffers or Amsoil next.

I thought about starting to use amsoil. we used it in all our high mileage trucks at work for a long time.

It was the M1 extended, but not the extended high mileage - I bought it at autozone.

Just finished 3 changes with Castrol Magnatec. It was a magic oil in my Ecoboost so gave it a shot in GT. Doing 3 changes with Schaeffer’s next. Haven’t decided what to use after that yet.
Watch for Sales at Costco. You’ll get six quarts for $30. M1 is good chit, especially at that price. It is my leading candidate for my next oil cycle.

Got into Phx about 10am. Long ass drive, I came down solo since the old lady has work. First stint 1k miles straight. Second day couple hundred more.

Going to mess with the trucks in a bit.

Not a whole lot is new. Fighting a chest cold, negative for COVID thankfully.

new job is going well. New house is slowly being put into a home. Still have stuff stung out all over trying to find places for stuff and flow of kitchen and living rooms. Slow process.

Did mobile 1 stop making the Advanced Fuel economy 0w20 that was made for Toyota/Honda? It’s been about three years since I did my last change. Might be way behind here.

I still see it at Costco. I wish they carried the Extended Performance, I wouldn't hesitate to go 10k on an oil change with that.

That’s where I usually got it. But now it seems it’s out of stock. At least for now.

Maybe. I’m just trying to match the stuff I have to use the rest of it. Other wise I need to buy all new oil.

Interesting results! We did a few runs.

Run 1 from a dig- My tundra spins bad he motors away
Run 2 from a dig -We both leave well and he only slowly pulls away.
Run 3 from a 30 mph roll both in sport- I get the jump and he slowly reels me in BUT at 70 mph I begin to pull away. Aero started coming into effect.

Then we took his out so I could see how the BBK Alcon Kit worked. The brakes are no Fning joke massive stopping power.

Glad you made it there. This brings back bad memories of driving back home from college for winter break when I was 18. I left Tempe, AZ at 3am (after attending a party), drove straight home, and pulled into my folks driveway in Redmond, WA at 12am the following day, 21 hours. I must have slept for a whole day afterwards. I do remember the stretch on Hwy 10 from Phoenix to LA, I must have been averaging 90-100mph. I remember getting passed by semis' at one point when I was doing 95.
