congrats!! Quick question - you mentioned sealing the cam towers - is this under a recall or anything? If not, how much? I haven't checked mine, but probably should :boink:

and yeah - couldn't be happier with my truck - eager to start adding 100k badges some day.

Yep, covered under the Power train warranty. Are you under 60k miles?
It's a simple 10 second inspection through the wheel wells with a flashlight, no need to remove anything.

And I think it's roughly $3-4k if you're paying out of pocket.

^^ although I would say 28 weeks ago - need a break from the world falling apart and the noise - shows that not enough people get out and live outdoors for a portion of their lives to disconnect and reconnect to what matters. Ready for camping and hiking season

Had a regular Tundra on order, but ended up with a Pro. I've heard mixed things about running the sway bar with the TRDPro Fox suspension, so decided to not put it on.

    Edit:
Didn't realize you were the one asking. I think some of this opinion actually came from you hehe.

Today was my first day back at the office. Was pretty amazing, but it was just stimulating to talk to people I haven’t seen in two years. That will wear off fast I bet, especially with the commute.

So after some research turns out my rear leafs are stock with some odd block for lift. So for now I'll be ordering an RXT kit until the Dirtking kit/ Funds are available to convert to full LT. Then I'll sell my full setup.

I’d be interested in hearing what you think of them. I’ve been doing some research for my truck and basically narrowed it down to these are what I want to go with. Spent a lot of money up front so it’s time to give the back some more love.
What option for height are you going to go with? Are you going to run a stock length shackle? I’ve been throwing around the idea of running option one with the coach builder +1 shackle.

I'll keep you posted. For now stock shackle length and Option 2 on the leafs. If It needs more clearance/lift I'll throw in some shackles.

Sweet! I don’t have stock shackles anymore which is why I was thinking coachbuilder. I’ve also heard that they help in reducing side to side movement.

Yea same! I've thought about adding them but will need to see how the DK setup is then measure lengths and probably compare it to the Coach Builders.

on top of lift - my understanding is that the cb shackles should provide a more robust structure to the rear springs correct? reduce any bed vibration/shake and be more reinforced for flex?

That's my understanding. Just looking at the design I can see the lateral rigidity should be far better than what's out there from other mfg.

Correct. They also slightly change the angle of the leaf pack itself. You'll have reduced bed bounce and effectively eliminate any side-to-side flex that normal shackles can produce.

Yeah. They sold it to him as an Icon RXT leaf pack, but instead what he got is what appears to be an Icon or Toytec AAL + a piece of steel that looks to be out of... maybe mid-90s Ford F-450 :notsure:

Not only is it far narrower than the U-Bolts and the rest of the leaf pack, but it also appears slightly twisted which leads me to wonder if there's anything centering it...

you know at first I couldn't quite pinpoint what was wrong with that picture, but alarm bells were going off. Now that you clarified it (and the "scratching the head" reference to a 90s F450) I can't stop laughing

random question (sorry if it's a sticky somewhere) - does anyone have a list of like "top 10" OHV/trails/camp sites to hit up here in the PNW/NW?

About the shackles. Stock OEM shackles are tight against the bushing center, which, once you remove the bolt and the bar, you'll see is serrated/toothed, and that bites into the bar. This doesn't let it swivel very well. The CB shackles eliminate that, and they swivel, or pivot if you will, much better. I think that's where most of the bed bounce comes from with the stockers. Besides that, it's quite clear how much stronger the CBs are over OEM.
