This will be awesome! I swear I just saw a new body mount from them…but for the life of me now I can’t find it. Was a sweet design. Basically cut off the factory one, weld a plate onto the frame then relocate their round one a bit further back I think. I may try to find it today when I take a break from building closets.

Yes you can drive on the beach. The Long Beach area is your average small, coastal tourist town. It is a great area to visit but like the Oregon coast this time of year, the weather will be a big challenge. Embrace the suck. Not sure if the town shuts down for the winter, but there probably isn’t much to do other than fly kites and drink.

Would be interested as well. I’m likely a long ways off from going to 37’s but I like to keep all the links saved just in case.

Let me know what you decide on the carrier if you don't mind. We've been in the market for a 4 place, but every time I research one I find bad reviews and go back to square one. :annoyed:

Found a local shop with a fabricator who does Offroad etc. Might have the local place do the front bumper just waiting on a quote. Rear bumper will be Mazzulla and I'll add provisions for the back up sensors.

I have been eyeing these racks for a while.

One cool feature is the wall mount that is included so the rack can be stored in the garage and still used to store the bikes.

Those look great. Spendy but the quality looks to match the price tag.

Yes, not cheap. However, seems like most racks are not cheap and if taken care of well you could likely get most of your money back out of them when selling used.

I had a nice Thule four bike hitch rack that had the swing away arm and all the bells and whistles for almost 10 years. I sold it to my BIL when I bought the Tundra for about $200 less than retail so it cost me like $20-30 per year to own.

That is dope! A bit overkill for what i am looking for. We don't get to ride that much. We have a 16",20",29er Sunday BMX bikes, and the wife has a beach cruiser. The rack I was about to go buy is the Thule Apex xt-4. I don't think we would use it enough to go the extra few hundred for the sway away. Though that is a cool feature!

Unfortunately when I was ordering the parts for the closets I didn't order all the sizes that might have come into play. So now I am off to HD to see if they can help.Other wise this project is put back on hold for another week or so while i wait for shipping.

Everything is a safety concern. The truck is much safer with new bumpers. It's at least worth a shot. ;)

    Looks like this bar, maybe?

And there are a few various threads about putting just about any 40in single row bar into the hood scoop, here's Cruzer's

I was stationed in SD for like 6 years. Love me some LT trucks..even more when they are super clean! I just have to admire other peoples builds till those damn little white ping pong balls with the numbers match my ticket. Then it’s game on!!! To bad I never got to experience driving them. We had a shit load of dirt bikes and street bikes at our last house. Nobody ever had the cash flow to get into trucks due to the bikes taking priority.

    Ah hell yeah!

But are they ever really "done"

This pic was the day before I left for Iraq. My roommate bought a suit just because(this was a common occurrence thanks to CL). So i put it on and was trying to drag knees in the neighborhood on the 50. Then took my 600rr out for a spin after filing it with 110..cause why not. When I got back he had his MV Augusta F4 1000R sitting outside. He tossed me the key and let me take it out. That thing was stupid fast! I never left second gear. Went right back to the house and said thanks but no thanks, not trying to die the day before I leave. At the height we had like 28 bikes in the garage/spare room. Both of the 50's lived on a half wall between our kitchen and the game room.

Edit: ignore my Braap braap face lol.

Ha! I grew up on dirt bikes then moved to road racing did all the tracks on the west. My first speeding ticket was at 15 on my 600 and my old man was leading the charge lol good times. We got nailed trying to pass and hit an exit.

Did you have a helmet with a fake mohawk to go with the suit and the face?

:censored: No. Those things were the worst. I have no idea how they even became a thing. I mean like eye lashes on a bug headlight horrible.

There’s a reason for the hair though. The face…I’m not sure, maybe I was in the middle of a big “braap” when the pic was taken.
