I second the Demello. My truck had a Smittybuilt on it when I bought it and don’t want to spend the coin to switch it (so many other mods I’d rather do) but if it didn’t have one I would have gone with the Demello.

Agreed! If money wasn't an object, I'd collect wheels like I do shoes. I wouldn't mind trying some that have that bead grip on them. I don't offroad much but seems like it would let you air down with some more confidence.

What kind of skid plates are you guys using?

This may seem crazy but I will be doing my first oil change in a stock truck later this spring. I have never had to fight the skid as they were always removed. Was looking at the CBI ones. Would be nice to have the filter door, and a cutout area for the drain plug.

Been looking at RCI's but they dont line up with the SS built bumper. So may go the custom route. Old mans got RCI's and they seem to hold up really well.

The RCI skid is my next mod for the truck. The stock one is bent and have only heard good things about them.

I love the factory TRD plate that came with my truck. Strong but light weight and has a cover that is easy to remove for oil changes. If I had to buy new, I’d go with RCI.

I need to go see what the stock one even looks like. If its easy enough to remove it will stay awhile. I was just looking at the tires and I have one that is more worn then the rest. Need to stay focused on getting what is needed to get these new wheels on by next winter.

Ok...looks like Fedex wants to play where in the world are my daughters cleats? Should have been here today. Now looks like tomorrow maybe. They should be in KY about an hour ago. Started from one place in China to another China facility, then allegedly received in Anchorage and cleared customs, then off to Osaka, Japan, back to China, back to Osaka, then off to Anchorage, then you guessed it...Lousiville, Ky. Haha I am sure this is multiple hiccups with their tracking system but this is just insane. Good thing I ordered these months before she will start wearing them.

The RCI ones don't offer any CAT protection at all, though it is rumored they are working on a bolt-on addition that will. The CBI setup is pretty sweet and offers really good protection of the cats and the T-case, but you've got to use their full set because each plate connects to the previous one for support at the front (transmission case bolts to engine skid and T-case bolts to transmission skid). After installing the Valhalla shields CAT plates under my truck that tie in with the TRD skid plate, the design of the CBI one makes the install (or any future removal) WAY easier. But they aren't cheap, and there's a lot of weight there.

Nice. Is it being shipped bare? They make it sound like they only ship bare, but then let you select a finish…confusing

So somewhere they say it is rated for 10k winches. Now it is 12k? Or will fit 12k but engineered for 10k?

Yep! I’m going with amber I think when the time comes

Damn that CBI one weighs 175# for both.

I like the look of that aluminum RCI set.

I also will run Amber for fogs(already ordered) and lower bumper…if I ever do anything else that will be white and I would assume in the hood bulge.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a “rating” so much as what it will “fit”
I’ve seen many 12k winches (mostly the super expensive Warn one) mounted in the SSO bumper.
At one point in 2020, the dealer in Longview had three different TRD Pros in stock that they set up the way. I spent some time looking closely at a white one, but I was only kicking the tires. They wanted a crazy markup on the extras

Not a bad price. If I didn't already have wheels for the Sequoia, I'd be all over that.

Are you going to have to relocate the control box for the winch for it to fit?
