This happened to me around the 4th of July if I remember right. IM had their lifts on sale like usual for the holidays and I was seriously tempted. But I decided to wait. Luckily for me they are like 2 minutes from my house....unfortunately I drive by every afternoon and see all those Toyota's sitting out front. They should probably get rid of the Jeep's though haha.

Thank you! Pretty excited to start building this one. Since the wife’s is done I shouldn’t get to much pushback.:fingerscrossed:

Opinions wanted. I bought this rail system for the underside of the DB cover. 41F36E47-DDD8-49F9-98ED-AD8E8CD07545.jpg
My question is this: Should I mount it to the back (as shown above) or the front lid? I’ll have a small shovel, an axe and maybe a small tool kit mounted.

The back makes for easy access, but I don’t want to “flash it” when I’m loading groceries or something in public. The gear might get used during camping season, but otherwise it is just for emergencies. I’m thinking I want to put it under the front lid…thoughts?

Do you have to open the lid to open the tailgate? May be a silly question but have never seen one in person. Thought being if you only had to open the tailgate to load groceries and stuff how visible would it be?

If you can open the tailgate with out flipping the lid I’d mount it in back for ease of access.

Anybody want a set of amp running boards? I’ve got the boards motors and mounting gear just none of the wiring but you can buy it and have the part numbers needed. Bought them off Craigslist a year or so ago and thought I wanted them, but would rather have sliders/steps. If not they are going on Craigslist in a couple of days.

I would ask yourself how much you will need to access those vs leaving easily accessible and maximum space for weekly things like Costco runs.

My gut tells me they will be a bitch to get to in the front, but if you only need access 1x or 2x per year, you might be better off having them out of the way.

So after looking at your previous pictures and these ones I would absolutely mount those on the front lid. If I didn't like that for whatever reason I would think about getting a molle panel for the front of your bed and mount to that.

I am assuming that most coolers wouldn't be able to fit under that if they were mounted on the rear panel.
I personally leave my ax, E-tool style shovel, tools, and air compressor in one of those black plastic totes with the yellow lids from costco. It is strapped at the front of the bed with a set of traction boards. never slides around and if i need it I can just crawl up there and pop the strap and get it loose....the bed rug helps of course.

Anybody local interested in a set of used DD Max Yellow fog kit? I am highly considering changing mine out now that I am keeping the truck. They work as they should. Im just going to go back to BD and use their lower bumper bar kit. So would like everything to match color wise.

Are they pod lights or are they the ones that fit in the OEM bumper? I might be interested if they are pod lights.

Yep, you can still open the tailgate with the lid closed.

Good point about Costco. One concern I had was how low the gear will hang down. I need to get in there and test fit, but stuff hanging down could be a PITA to work around when I’m shoving a package of TP in.

Oh, a cooler. Didn’t think about that. I definitely need to see how things fit with my cooler. Great call.

As for a molle panel…one arrived today! The recovery board will go on that and probably an extinguisher. Haven’t had time to play with the layout yet.

Nice! I would run molle panels too but I have the bed rug and pretty sure that gets in the way with the mounting.

Yep I plan on running Molle panels for all my gear mounting. Someone take this damn bedrug off my hands!

I would have to see how they mount first. This tote works for me as I still have tools in, jumper cables, all kinds of stuff from when I had quads. But I probably wouldn’t have a problem cutting the rug if the holes weren’t that big.

I also thought about keeping the bedrug while I mount Molle panels but seems like a major pain in the ass lol

I just have the panel for the front of the bed. The bed mounts just use the bed bolts, so I bet it would be pretty easy.
I’ll post some pics when I get it installed

I may look into that front panel. I would like the extra space for tournament weekends. I get tired of lifting that damn thing in and out of the truck. I should probably go through it and just keep the essentials, but I don't have anywhere to put the tote or the extra stuff in my garage. As it is right now my wheels are in my gym. I need to go take pictures of everything I am going to sell and start posting it up.

I got that bed rug to protect the bed during the lease so they don't try and hit me with some stupid ass fee in case the bed got scratched. Now I love that thing. I can get in there and not kill my knees and stuff stays pretty much where I leave it.

How many dineros? I was thinking of these driving the back way from Wilsonville in the fog and couldn't see shit. But, I am on the fence.

This is exactly why I bought them. I drive primarily in the dark...well I did when I ordered them last Jan.
They are $540 new. How bout $350.

I can go out to the garage here in a couple minutes and find the box. I need to verify I have the stock still. I will take pictures of these also. If I have the stock ones I will pull the DD out today and take more pictures of them and send them to you. If you are good then this weekend will work fine. I do work weekends, so I won't be back out here till around 2:30 each day.
