    Yikes! :eek2:
Got any electrician buddies close by?
I wired in my Gen panel with a 60A outlet feed outside, manual transfer switch. I only have a 3500w generator for now, but that can run my fridge/freezers and of course I put my internet and TV on that panel too. :D
I probably have a grand into everything, including the wire and generator.
    I need that propane tank!

The pricing is nuts. That’s what I get for having a home where I do…all contractors think we are dual income from the IT world. It sucks…and I’m getting priced out of the area. Such is life

I didn’t want to deal with gas for a generator, but I’ll just get something like what @gosolo suggested and then pay an electrician to add a second panel. Should be able to do it all for about $3-4k.

Crazy man, what a wild time. Are your King County property taxes ridiculous?

At least you'll be able to cash in when you flee to the land of the free, wherever that may be.

Yep…King County. The equity in our home is nuts and will for sure allow us to retire before we reach our 60s, but there are drawbacks.

After multiple trips in the snow and conditions from light-pack to hard-pack to icy, I've decided these OEM Michelins are can only be described as "adequate". It doesn't help with the 4.30 rear diff, but they sure seem to not grip very well under any inclement conditions. Stopping is decent, but starting or turning doesn't inspire confidence.

Their time on my ship is numbered...

Agreed. They did well for 2 years. New discover tires are doing well so far. Happy with my purchase. Definitely an upgrade. But those stocks did well enough to use the hell out of them until I couldn't.

I am with you. Hoping to replace mine in the spring as long as tax hit this year is not too bad. Will be replacing with a three peaks rated tire.

I always love to hear people's thoughts on these. Other than the fact they throw rocks like crazy, I love them. I've been commuting on packed snow and ice since Sunday and I have 0 complaints.

Do the Pros come with the same size tire as the rest of the Tundras? 275/65r18?

Tri-fuels at Costco right now for under $1,000. Don’t even need to be a member for the generators.

I think there is value to the 3-peak, but check this out: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=125&

The single acceleration test on medium pack surprised me. That might be a high value for rear-wheel drive cars, but I'm more concerned about stopping and turning in snow. I've got four-wheel drive to get me started if needed. As such, I kind of think the 3-peak is overrated.

Yeah, I like hearing other comments too...we all drive differently on different conditions with different expectations. I've never felt like they were rock-chuckers, but maybe that's because I have very little dirt roads in my life (need much more). How are they wearing for you? I do feel like the tire's performance has noticeably decreased since last year. Mine were at 8/32 last summer and I bet they're down to about 6/32 now. That could be part of it; they don't seem to clear the snow out very well.

Yep...same tiny tires as the other trucks.

I don't have measurements, but I'm at about 65k miles and probably 4 months from replacing them. The good news is, they don't chuck rocks anymore.

Wow, yours are wearing like iron. I was at 20k this past summer. I've never had tires wear this fast before...

I put two sets of these on my F150 for the last 60k of its life. I mainly did it because they were take offs that I got from LS for $300 a set. First set lasted about 45k and I agree that they are adequate as an all around tire.

Note though… with both sets I never rotated or had to rebalance and had perfect wear. Had to air up every now and then. No lie. With the current ones I have to put air in every month. Not sure what the deal with that is.

I will upgrade in a few months and will likely go with the LS Open Range. There are cheaper tires (less expensive I should say), but 99% of my travels are around LS shops and they have always been good to me.

I’ve been following this… what a dumpster fire. The “other” side of the aisle is pushing for things like allowing any one that vests to withdraw on it even if they now live out of state. Should have been that way from the beginning but that also makes the fund less likely to remain solvent. Which then means they will be coming for more taxes. And I'll stop there before I get the Ban Hammer.

Friend of mine got a private policy, requested the exemption, GOT the exemption from WA and then had the insurance company revoke the policy due to a pre-existing condition they apparently missed. WA then notified her the exemption was also revoked! So who’s shaking who’s hands on this law!?!?!?

    I’ll stop there too

In an effort to avoid the hammer myself… I will switch topics. What is it about plastic grocery bags that preempt the need for paper ones to be taxed/banned. This is purely a rhetorical question so as not to draw anyone else to the hammer. Just venting.

Think I figured out why the OEMs suck.

Current tire at ~50-60% tread. Notice how the snow sticks into the treads.

And my spare tire. Full size, same tire, never used until today.

That sucks. Shitty place to get a flat (not that there are really any good places).

Thanks. I made it to a grocery store parking lot and added air. Then got to my destination and changed it in the driveway. I’d drive on a rim and destroy it before I stopped on the highway in these conditions.

    Just ordered new tires!
