Do most of you run a couple tubes of sand in your bed this time of year? I bought my truck in late February so we were past most of the threats of bad winter weather here so if anything materializes this next week it will be a first for this vehicle.

You guys were right about the weather, just looked and can't believe it's going to get that cold here. Showing 17 Monday and Tuesday night, time to wrap your outdoor spigots etc.. if you haven't already.

Nope. Never felt the need with 4wd.

Check the build link in my signature.
I’ve never bothered with the 4WD truck. When I had a 2WD work truck I’d toss a couple of scrap wide flange in the bed, but it never seemed to really help.

I used to, but haven't the past couple years. Looks like we're going to have a good winter over here so I might soon.
It does help keep the rear planted when you don't necessarily need 4wd, but are getting some tire spin.

Finally! I’ll have a drink with you guys. It’s been about three months between these pictures. But we may be getting close to being done.

Can’t believe I forgot about that. We have frost free valves but I’ll go put the covers on tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me!

Thank goodness for remote start. These single digit temps, I'll start the truck before my shower and maybe the trick will thaw before I have to leave for work. I need a garage bad.

House hunting is good. No bids yet, but soon. House on the market Jan 3rd so I'll be placing bids soon after. Got a few I want to go look at. On just a garage and 1 acre. The other a .5 acre with garage and shop but still room for dogs to roam.

Been a pain in the ass the last 4 days getting the house ready for pictures. Plus a job interview. But it's paid off. Pics look great, and house will go in the market Jan 3rd. Interview went well. 30 minutes after the interview I go an email saying please provide references email and I was going into next steps for hiring process. Things are happening faster than expected. But it's a good thing.

Me too. Stress level has gone up, just because of
how fast things are moving, but I am excited for the next chapter in my life. Plus when black rifle company opens in Lewiston you all will have an invite to come stay and visit.

    I’m there!

You going to miss Walla Walla? We love that city. It is a placeholder for what kind/size town we want to live in eventually.

I'll miss the nostalgia of Walla Walla. It will always be home. But it's changed a lot over the years. And not necessarily good or bad, but I don't like the direction it's going.

Yeah, I bet. First time I visited WW was in 1999 or 2000. My F-in-L is huge into wine, so once I put a ring on his daughter’s finger we were invited for the big weekend release a few times a year. We could visit near every winery in 1.5 days. Wine tastings were free and there was time to talk to the wine maker if we wanted. By 2010 it was a zoo. Full size tour buses hauling wave after wave of people out to party. Tasting fees were the norm and wineries had to manage the volume instead of getting to know the customer.

Having money coming into small towns and cities is critical but I bet it destroyed the vibe for a lot of locals. Housing there is nuts and I’m sure the power of the wine industry changed a lot of city politics and their focus.

Nailed it. There are over 100 wineries now. The whole town caters to it. Everything has increased in price due to being a tourist town now. Just not the same anymore.

Solid selection. We had a bottle of Woodward last night, with dinner.

I haven’t drank hard seltzer before this trip, but I’m starting a habit of throwing several of these back during the kids’ nap each day.
