It is. Selling cause it will take 45-60 days to close on average. Then headed for Lewiston. Depending on if I find a place to buy or not that's to my liking. I'll rent if I have to. I have job interviews lined up. Something will land. If not, I'll move into my dad's place until I find work over there. But I'll still find a place to buy or rent over there so I can be set up when I start working over there.

Thanks. No better time I guess. I was close in 2017, but gf at the time vetoed it. Should have just done it then though.

Thanks. It's a pretty cool area. Still considered rural, which I like. Good outdoor/hunting options as well. Looking forward to getting over there.

After living here in this rural area, I don't think I could ever move out of the mountains and live in a city again. I like the privacy and lack of crime too much!

Update on my suspension/lift: I met up with @Explorer last weekend, and he determined I definitely have stock suspension. The only mod the PO did was add the lift. Soooooo that means a suspension upgrade is on the wish list!

For sure! I don't mind living in "town" but I couldn't do anything above 40k population. I want something where I can throw a rock and not hit my neighbors property.

Well boys I might be saying goodbye to the tundra. With 2 kids and competitive gymnastics going out of town all the time I think we will be better off in a mid size SUV. Looking at a 2022 Honda Pilot sport right now. Hopefully you don’t mind if I stick around!

I fully understand that. Good luck to you! I am heavily researching options for a similar move as well.

Going to check out the pilot tonight. I will keep you updated. As much as I hate it the move really does make sense. Maybe when my kid is driving in 6 years she can take the Camry and I’ll get a new truck!

My neighbor has a BMW suv with some strange fart can muffler (stock) that sounds all kinds of wrong when he starts it. I’d like to be beyond range of any/all neighbors and their daily life.

When Covid first hit and everyone was home, I found that I fell in love with this area again. It was the lack of traffic and noise and stress. That taught me it doesn’t matter who’s running Olympia, I won’t be happy simply because of the crowds. All the crap we rant/joke about here just adds fuel to the fire…It’s not you Washington; it’s me.

I’d like a town in the 10-30k range. Walla Walla is about my maximum.

Yeah, you are always welcome. I live the Pilots but the road noise is horrible…at least in previous generations. Unsure about the current model. Good luck with whatever you decide.

We are looking to the pilot/CRV or the rav4. We originally really wanted the Highlander but the price vs features seems a little steep compared to the pilot. Pilot comes standard with led lights all around, heated seats, carplay/android auto, remote start, etc. I told my wife I’m only doing it if we break even or better on the truck.

I drove a 2008 pilot from summer of 2007 until I bought the Tundra in February. Agree the road noise was not great as @Green Thunder mentioned but otherwise it was a pretty solid vehicle. Great in the snow, third row was handy at times, and pretty comfortable interior. Good luck with the vehicle search.

YES! Being beyond range of any/all neighbors and their daily life is great!

And after being met with a 128 pound German Shepherd under a Guard Command (awaiting a Bite Command) and a red dot trained on his chest; one guy just down river a little ways, decided he wasn't going to "just drop by" any more.

Luckily we are looking at brand new. I still can’t believe the used car prices. At the dealer they have a used 2019 CRV ex-l with 10k miles for $38,000. Right next to it is a 2022 CRV ex-l for $34,000 brand new.

I’m in a similar spot. I was told about the Outback Wilderness edition by @RainMan_PNW . I am keeping it on my list. I added a New MDX A spec, a Lexus IS350(AWD), and still waiting for the new STI to come out. I need decent room, at least AWD, or 4wd to be responsible and would prefer to enjoy what I’m driving. If I was going used I would take just about anything priced pre Covid at about 3-4K for a daily. Don’t care what it is as long as it gets great gas mileage.

Some of the irresponsible but fun options..the new Lexus IS 500 F sport, another mustang, and a whole slew of other options.

I swear if I could just find a decent older Honda Civic or accord for the work commute I would keep the truck.

Just had dinner with an old buddy that’s a LEO. Some interesting new WA laws coming into effect in 2022. One requires all criminal investigations to be audio and video recorded. The other says minors cannot be interviewed without a lawyer present (again, criminal investigations). Parents/legal guardians do not apply.

So no camera or lawyer? No talkie talk. Reports will be written without details and he suspects the Prosecutor will just drop everything due to lack of info. Or everyone gets a cuffed-trip downtown to the station where the interviews will be conducted with recording devices.

So given the current state of law enforcement and how understaffed everyone is, resources will be further limited and focused on the worst crimes. LEOs knowing they don’t have the time or resources to conduct on-site interviews will have to make decisions how to proceed. My buddy suspects it will lead to more and more crimes going unsolved (well, not investigated).

    Carry on…nothing to see here
