Need to remove both bolts to put the bracket in. I tried to loosen enough for just one but couldn’t get it to work. Maybe it will work.

Yes sir. Center of bolt hole to where the pig tail starts.

Edit: Also don’t worry about those set screws in the rings. They are allegedly for German laws. I never tightened ours.

Which brackets did you go with? Looks good btw. I have the Rago brackets but still waiting on the ditch lights to show.

I bought the combo of brackets and lights from Cali Raised. I did not want to invest a bunch in ditch lights until I was sure I liked them. The lights have a two year warranty so it gives me enough time to decide if I like them and can eventually upgrade to a better quality light.

You are right. Took another look at this and could have done one bolt at a time. I blame the beer.

I agree 100%. I will choose who and where I’m going to advertise for. Isn’t that sort of the basic motive for de-badging?

Yesterday we had some big wet flakes and some ice. A few degrees warmer and it’s been all rain; 1 1/3” today.

Any of you NW fellas running a Snugtop and have leaking issues? I’m getting water in around the rear corners of the side windows and maybe a spot or two at the bed/canopy interface. My driveway has a slight grade to it and I think the water is all draining to the rear of the side windows and overwhelming the small drain holes in the track. Pretty sure it’s just building up and seeping in. I’m hesitant to take it into AA but I’m probably going to since my front window that opens up with gas struts doesn’t close easily either. I know it’s a COVID cap but I paid a dang pretty penny and waited a long time for this build quality to be what it is. I understand delays during this time but I feel like companies have taken advantage to use it as an excuse for quality issues and that should not be the case.

I had one back in 2003/2004 that leaked like a sieve around the rear brake light from the first time it was mounted. It went back to SnugTop either 1 or 2 times and still leaked. I'm sure all the manufacturers have bad ones now and again, but that experience soured me on SnugTop.

Whelp, I’ve owned two Snugtops before. One was on my 2005 F150 and the other was on my 2016 F150. My ‘16 had leaking issues (one of its many problems) on the side window. Not sure what model you have, but mine had the pop/swing out windows (not the sliders).

When I opened the right side (good) window, the glass had a nice curve to it that matched the contour of the canopy. The left side window was flat when opened. It leaked because the clasp that held the window closed was in the middle of the glass, so the corners wouldn’t get snug (haha) to the weather seal. The clasp also wasn’t strong enough to make it super tight. When they replaced the window, it stopped leaking.

As for leaking at the bed, of the three I’ve owned (the 3rd was a Leer), the only one that didn’t leak was my ‘16. The dealer covered the bed rail in two rows of weather stripping before dropping the canopy down onto the truck. Not sure how your dealer prepped the bed rail, but if it is just sitting on top then water will get in.

I had quality problems with all of my canopies. Snugtop is one of the most expensive units and unfortunately the worst in quality from my experience. Sorry to hear you got a bad one.

I need to spend more time back there and really narrow down the issues I know of and make sure I take a close look at everything before I take it in. Probably take photos and videos too. I definitely tend to lean on the side of dealing with things myself but with how much this thing cost…

Found 12/12 in Vancouver, WA. Neighbor reported to police. Said it's been parked on the street since early November.
