Ironman recommends wanderlust for install and work. So it’s possible.

Yeah, what is the story with that!? I’ve seen a few things here on the forum but haven’t wanted to dive into it. A few things I’ve read here suggest it is most about how hard they are users vs mileage.

And rebuilding? Sounds expensive and time consuming.

I’ve watched several of his videos. I think he used Wunderlust to do suspension work on his current Ram.

From what I understand it’s not that expensive to have good shocks rebuilt, but there’s the downtime (or buying a second set and rotating through them).

but I’m also the guy that had the factory Bilstein TRD off-road shocks on my 2008 for 297k miles without ever replacing them…

The cost of these LED off-road lights is a little nuts...$800 for a 30" light bar? Does it gargle my gonads while I off-road? Is the $200 set 1/4 the quality? If a $200 unit dies in two years, I laugh and replace it. Nothing lasts forever, but I'll be pissed if a $800 bar dies inside of eight years.

Told the wife last night she'd better get her list of stuff around the house she wants fixed...cuz I'm about to do something stupid. Not really...but close....

Yeah I dropped some serious coin on a 40" BD S8 for the hood bulge. Thing better last longer than the truck.

I've always wanted to see how well that bar looks/works at night...you've got to really commit to that thing and if it doesn't meet expectations...oh boy.

I got a cheap 30" Nilight bar in my grille and the thing is stupid bright. Best advice I have is if you only plan to use is low speed offroad situations the cheap bars are perfect, if you want to bomb down backroads at 100 in the pitch black or you want to scream through the desert you will "outrun" the cheap light bar and then the Baja that can throw light 2 miles makes a little more sense.

In my experience getting the gonad gargling feature costs way more than $800…

Yes, LEDs are crazy spendy for the major brands. I have a set of Diode Dynamics and Cali Raised, both still in boxes. We’ll see how they compare once installed.

Ok..I have been doing some looking around with your bumper/light/winch situation. First my neighbor has the Victory without the hoop. He also has a fairlead spring loaded license plate. So I didn't want to post a public picture of that. Its pretty sweet. He doesn't have the sensors though. I see Victory has that option for you. I can't remember if IM offers those.

Here is some food for thought. IM wants you to use their lights. I haven't seen them, don't know much about them. But I wouldn't want to be locked into one light(unless you mod their bumper). Victory you can use BD or Rigid or probably others. The problem with Victory is they have done a pretty decent job of pissing off some people on here with their roof rack situation.

Now I am not a hater of either of those brands. The wife's 4runner obviously is lifted with FCP's and has Victory sliders. My Tundra has Victory sliders. I wasn't very impressed with either of the mounting hardware for those. They seem to be holding fine...but have never been used as sliders.

Now for lights.. I am a huge BD fan...who happens to be a man. I took a chance and used another brand for my fog's on this Tundra. They were hella spendy and require you to secure them with a zip tie...or 3 or 4. Then you have to aim them which can be a pita if you don't have about 30-40ft of flat and level driveway to correctly do that. Then the light output isn't anywhere near as good as BD.

In my opinion BD is 100% worth the price. Yes they are costly. If I keep this Tundra the first thing I am doing after the lease is over is removing these other lights and putting in some BD. I will probably post these up for cheap. May trade you a box or two of that Flight chocolate for them. I mean they work...but I am not in the mood to pull the fender liners to try and reaim them for the 3rd time.

Good luck with the research and the choosing of your new truck toys...also if you start adding a bunch of lights don't forget the SDHQ spods mount. That thing is pretty sweet!

I’m thinking about 8’ x 8’ platform, but sandbags inside for the lower 3’ will reduce the space. The location will give me coverage of all 3 gates and both creek crossings on the south. I figure a pallet of concertina wire will fill in the gaps

It's my Saturday! I spent almost 5 hours cleaning the windows in the house today. Thanks to sheetrock douchebag's that sprayed texture on them cause they don't know how to mask.

Anyway I am drinking now too. Sinfire and orange Fanta. Was going to have a rum and coke...but decided against it.

Edit: Chemical Guys green window cleaner works awesome on home windows too.
