    Hello neighbor,
We didn’t lose any trees in Waldhiem Acres but a lot of them came down around the area for sure . At least yours didn’t cause too much collateral damage. I will keep a lookout for you around Berrydale.
    Cheers,

How did those 2 birds turn out? @Green Thunder

My BIL smoked a turkey, we ate and drank like kings yesterday.

Overall it went very well. Didn't need the 2nd bird; it's sitting in my garage fridge now waiting to be cut up. We ate and drank like kings too...and thankfully my family behaved.

Now for a day of cleaning!

How did everyone else's holiday go?

Yep! But with a great lunch and some booze I am less concerned about snow.

Anyone here need floor mats? Cleaned out the garage a bit yesterday and have my stock carpet floor mats and the stock rubber floor mats. Don’t ever plan to use them and don’t want to store them for the next several years. Offering here first before putting on the marketplace.

Not as crazy as some stuff people buy at Costco! Someone must be buying the $2,000 TVs.

That’s pretty cheap for a true Wagyu. Go Costco. It is all fat…

We have never had Wagyu, but we do get their ribeye fat caps. We like a 6-8hr sous vide then reverse sear. Very good.

I'm probably odd in that I like my steak to be lean, my favorite is flank steak on the BBQ.

I'm with @Kratos on this one! I'm weird and prefer lean steaks. I can't chew on all that fat :puke: I've seen cheap bacon with less fat than that wagyu!

Thing with wagyu is there isn’t much chewing involved. It’s more like putting butter in your mouth and letting it melt. I’ll take lean steak myself too. Even prefer my pork chops on the lean side

No direct experience but I have heard good things from some coworkers. They are based in Newberg OR and I have seen the front door to their shop but they were closed to walk ins. Next door is a great coffee roasting company, Caravan Coffee.
