They still allow backyard fires 3’ in diameter and less and no more than 2’ high.

I always spray it with water for about 20 minutes to be sure it was out cold before we come inside.

 

It is wood pellet fire pit. I’ve had a chub for a Solo stove for years, but don’t have (and don’t want) a giant pile of wood to feed it. I found this and decided to give it a try. It has the same secondary burner system so the output is nearly smokeless.

Drop in a 40lb bag of pellets and stuff a few fire starters in. Then just wait.

After 30minThen you get about 60min of beautiful tall flame
You can see the secondary burn system feeding air into the burn chamber. After an hour or so, the initial burn is complete and the fire dies back. But you are left with a cool blue flameWe started at 7:30 and it was still going at 10:45. Not as hot but still plenty warm

It is a pretty slick system. I like keeping a few 40lb bags of pellets in my garage and not messing with a pile of wood. The one drawback is if you want to add more pellets. Throwing more than a few cups in at once ruins the burn cycle and the smoke is epic. Then suddenly the fire catches again and things are good.

Going to experiment this weekend with regular wood (it “should” work) and also dumping a second 40lb bag on top of the burned-down pellets to see how long it takes to refire (prob 30-45min).

I agree. Is it just me or does the front end looker overly long? Might be the color, not a fan of red at all.

 

The front end, the back door window, integrated rear bumper. Bleah.

 

Based on the bed space behind the rear door and the rear wheel I think that is a double cab, not a crew max. Not sure but that is what it looks like with the shorter back door.

I was wrong, they will deliver but it's an extra $75 for a truck with a lift gate.

 

So what do you guys think of how these attach? Seems very beefy and solid, but is it overkill (weight)?

That’s something new. Crazy noise. Not directly related to speed or engine rpm…but close. I have zero ideas on that one.

 

Sounds like a dealer visit to me. No idea what that is.

 

Yeah I found a thread on this forum with a guy who says he had the exact same noise on his 21 with 600 miles. Says his ended up being the dust shield on the rear differential. I'm going to spray it today and see if that's it.

250 miles on the odometer and needing a dealer visit isn't the greatest feeling.

 

Although I'm wondering if I should even spray anything on it. Don't want the dealership saying WD or PB caused it...
