Awesome! Taking on other students? I sorta learned to stick weld about 15 years ago when I helped a friend build a frame for a tear drop trailer. Not exactly the pretty stack of dimes on my work.

Having a project to build is the best motivation. Right now, she seems more interested in taking the slag hammer and chipping the flux off, lol. What worries me is how far out of the box this little girl thinks. She is absolutely capable of coming over and saying she wants us to build a scale model battleship with functional cannons.

Ugh - I'm heading to western MT this weekend to visit my folks. Sounding like things are pretty smoky all over there...

Just FYI - I spoke with both the Office of Insurance Commissioner and WA Employee Security Department (overseeing wa cares) today. The OIC told me they will have nothing to do with the plan or overseeing exemptions. The ESD told me that the exemption form will only be asking to attest that you are covered by a LTC plan and not ask for the policy. So, unless you are an insurance lawyer, you can review the definition of long term care on the OIC website and then decide for yourself if your life insurance rider or group disability plan qualifies as Long Term Care insurance. I encourage you to call the ESD with any questions or feedback you have (be nice though). They have phone number of 1-833-717-2273 where they recently added an option for exemption questions.

How was it? In the beginning of a 45 weight loss challenge, so no GN for me for a while.

I don't need to lose weight but I need to get in better shape.

I’d say, for me, losing weight AND getting in shape (wait a minute, round is a shape, right?), would be a real good idea!

I can confirm round is a shape. And people with six pack abs are only half of my 12 pack…

Amazing! Maybe you should get a four pack to put in reserve for after the weight loss challenge.

Location #3. Finally away from the cold and humidity of the ocean. Tucked away in the mountains now, but it looks like it might rain for the next three days. Pondering extending our stay here instead of making a trek back to our fourth location as the weather might break just as we are scheduled to leave.

Will post pics later. Minimal signal here

Hi guys. I dont get on here too much since i sold my tundra for a 4runner, but have some parts still if anyone is interested and in the greater portland or surrounding areas. Looking for best offers below retail

new in box black powder coated rci skid plates for engine and transmission. (Package deal)
    Msrp was $655 i think

    and

a tan softtopper thats like new. Was only on about 3 weeks before i sold the tundra.
    Msrp was $810-ish.

i dont have enough posts for the marketplace and prefer to sell to locals that will hopefully not gouge someone else cause of wait times and shipping. Lmk.

also, @gosolo thats super sick that your daughter likes welding. Her first beads look way better than mine back in the day. She has a future in it if she wants. I hear nasa can always use talented tig welders for exotic metals.

Truly great. I made a sauce/spread with a mayonnaise base adding chipotle powder and some blackened seasoning.

    Hey guys,

Sorry, it's been a busy summer! Thought I'd ask in this thread vs the third gen thread for advice to keep the input 'small'.

My truck being 6 years old feels a bit squishy in the suspension. It handles fine but I feel like I shouldn't feel as many bumps going down the road. I also seem to have a bit of a lift in the back which I'd like to level out. I'm not interested in lifting it but I am interested in leveling it. Thoughts?

I was thinking of going with the Bilsteins but didn't know if I should get 5100s, 6112s, or whatever is appropriate to level out the ride and possibly make it smoother? I'll be doing the work myself.

    ----
    Update

Am thinking of doing the 6112 in the front, 5100 in the rear and doing a leaf spring swap.

So, advice on leaf springs (to keep stock height) :)?

    ----

    Thanks guys!

A busy summer is a good summer!

From what I can tell you have the standard black shocks, not the TRD OR Bilstein's. My last truck had those and the rear shocks were failing by 60k miles. I would do the rear if you're leveling the front.
I wasn't a fan of the 5100's, they were a very rough ride in my experience.
I have the 6112's on right now, set @ 1.3". Very happy with them for the price, but next time around I'll probably go with a higher end shock.

Sure thing. Figured if I'm doing one, in doing all. What do you recommend for the rear if you didn't like the 5100s?

I'm running the 5100's all around and they are missing the "plush" factor that I feel they should have. I haven't rode in a truck with the 6112's, but it looks like everyone is pleased with them.
