Nice! Did your garden handle the heatwave well? Had a few things that took a beating and not so sure they will bounce back.

Most of the garden fared well, a few burnt leaves. It does look like we lost a young rosebud tree, but it was pretty weak

Lost a lot of little pea pods that weren’t fully developed. I’m mostly afraid that the heat has triggered all the brassicas, basil and lettuce to bolt. Will know within a week.

The peas we have don’t look good, not expecting them to make it. I have a lime tree that has a lot of very crispy leaves but it is strong and always seems to come back from heat or a little frost if I don’t get it inside on time. Defiantly waiting to see what it looks like in a week.

Restocked Great Notion for the weekend and now playing with a new toy that arrived earlier in the week.

Need a compressor to use with the RV trailer and thought about on-board air but went portable instead. Not a fan of the bag for storage so setting it up in a new case.

That’s the same compressor I got. It works well.

Good to hear. I read a bunch of info on these compressors since my experience is only small pancake compressors for nail guns and large industrial compressors. Finally decided on this one due to the auto shutoff and 100% duty cycle. It will get its first use next week when I pull the trailer out for the next trip.

Same one here too, I like it. Just make sure to take out the little plug before you turn it on. Did that once and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working for a second.

I like your style. That case is slick. I have an ARB that came in a tool box. Handy and portable, but I’d like to mount it in the truck engine bay. Free up some space in the tool box.

The trip to the Rez for fireworks was almost a bust. Everything was stupid expensive. My son got a few things but gave back most of the money.

Just went to the local stand and the prices were crazy there too. If someone wants to work one week of the year and make their entire income…well have at it. But I’m not funding that business model.

The diet is officially on pause.

I looked at that ARB one but could not find much for actual specs. I did like the case it came in but this works well. The compressor and all the accessories fit perfectly inside this case. Might have to back to Harbor Freight and buy another one and use it for tools.

That’s like the joke about the guy with the chainsaw that wouldn’t cut. He took it back to the seller and said it didn’t work, after a whole day cutting he only got about a wheelbarrow full. The saw shop guy started it up and the fella backed up 3 steps and yelled, “what’s that noise!”

I just got up to do the same. Well I was supposed to be up at 01:30 to fire up the smoker but apparently I shut my alarm off and fell asleep. I don’t remember this…but the wife said I did.
Anyway hopefully should be done in time.:fingerscrossed:

I'm not a fisherman myself. But my uncle owns and runs a salmon tackle business out of Salem.

He claims they have the highest strike/catch ratios with their very high end products.

He is on you tube, so look him up.

He is obsessive about his salmon fishing. Great guy.

    Gooddayfishing.com
    He is Wayne Parker

You will enjoy visiting with him if you call him.

    Enjoy

Anyone besides @RainMan_PNW using the Valhalla’s Shield cat/skid plates?

Neighborhood’s not too far from me have had Prius cars stolen so getting a little nervous. Trying to figure out what material to buy (steel or aluminum) and the thickness. No any hardcore off-roading for me, just fire roads and similar terrain. Thinking 1/4 aluminum to save weight and to match the thickness of the TRD skid that I am planning for the front.

    Thoughts and input welcome.

I’d probably go 1/4 aluminum. You don’t have to coat it. It’s half the weight. It’s still gonna stop the ones that are smash-and-grabbing cats. And it offers some protection for lite offroad.

if I was to buy them again, I’d probably go that route myself. But they are pretty much install and forget either way… until I need to service anything…
