So this is an annual event that is just nuts? Sounds bigger than a swap meet

Every few years were like to mix up the trip we take to visit my parents in ID, so we’ll go up over White Pass instead of out the gorge. And when my wife and her friend were section hiking the PCT, White Pass is one of the section breaks. So I’ve been through there quite a few times but never during any of the flea markets.

My wife has a friend whose ex-husband travels the fair/event circuit selling tin signs and knick-knacks while living out of his van (some of why they aren’t married any more)…he would always take about how “awesome” the Packwood events were.

Just hit the Costco gas station...$98.52 to fill up. I’ll get to do it again next Thursday after the scheduled appointment for the fuel pump recall and 20k service. :censored:

My fuel pump recall gets done on the 7th. Only requirement is less than half a tank of gas. I am going to go in as low as possible. Even if I have to do some mountain trails on Sunday before taking it in.

I was filling up while on the phone with Toyota. She says we need it with less then 1/2 tank...I said unfortunately don’t worry about that...you’ll probably get it with the fuel light on haha. Hopefully this time I don’t get that damned Yaris as a loaner.

My mother in law just bought an 18 Camry and we scheduled it to go in for that recall next Thursday. What baffles me is that it was at a Toyota dealer… They should have had it done beforehand(unless in their defense it wasn’t on the lot long).

They told me I'd have the truck back same day after a few hours. If not they better send me back home with another tundra. Local Toyota sucks. Traveling to Lewiston Idaho to get my service and visit some friends.

Was told 4-5 hours. I’m not sitting at Toyota on my Saturday for that long. I’m not impressed by any of the Toyota dealers that I have been to for service. If they are going to screw up...might as well be on warranty work.

So Walla Walla sucks. Business model here is "don't like it, drive 50+ miles to someone else we don't care." Tri-Cities is closer at 49 miles, but same owners for Walla Walla Branch. I'll take my truck 100 miles to Lewiston any day. Best customer service I have ever had. They've made me a repeat customer.

My 15 had:a Head unit under warranty, and a dealer caused alignment/tire balance problem.

My 19 has had: transfer case R&R, turn signal wiring recall and now the fuel pump recall.
It’s averaging a recall every oil change. Let’s see what’s next??

17' didn't have any recalls I am aware of. 19 has had blinker/hazard rewired to make them brighter and now the fuel pump. But the fuel pump affected 18-20 models I believe.

Did someone say shitty dealers!? Rant below :D

My closest dealer is known for recommending services not needed, also won't come off msrp for parts. When they did my cam towers, the whole underside was dripping oil from the job. I took it back and told them I'll be getting a rental so they can detail the engine/chassis. That's the last time they had their paws on my truck and I made note of the "master tech" who did the job. I still let them do the lifetime oil change on the Sequoia but I check oil level and make sure there is a new filter spun on before I leave the lot. Funny thing is they recommended rear brakes 3 oil changes ago, but haven't said a word since.

Next closest Yota store is about 100 miles away.
