    Hey, all.

I bought my Tundra as a CPO about 5 and a half months ago. Long story short, the dealer I bought it from put some shit AT tires (Mastercraft) on them. I'm loving the truck but these tires have more tire / road noise than most mud tires I've heard.

So my question is this. If I replace them with either a good set of highway tires or less aggressive ATs how much road / tire noise (or lack thereof) can I reasonably expect?

Thanks in advance for any input.

It's going to vary with each manufacturer as well as tire for each manufacturer. In general though, the more aggressive the tire, the more road noise. My Nitto Ridge Grapplers don't really have any more noticeable road noise than my BFG KO/2's did, which was honestly not very much to begin with.

Not sure how I missed this response @Sas. Sorry about that. Thanks for the info.

My buddy had an old Ford Explorer that seemed to be have bad tire noise even with HT tires on. I always thought it was a bad acoustic design underneath that amplified tire noise. With the amount of noise that I'm getting out of these tires I was hoping the Tundra didn't suffer from something similar. It sounds like the truck can be relatively quiet with a good set of tires.

Could be his tread was pretty low? That typically increases road noise as well.

Mastercraft are just rebadged Coopers. Cooper makes them. But not sure if the tread patterns change with different names.
