    Has anyone up graded to the 18 head lights that are pictured in this thread? I’m thinking to do in 2019, and was looking for a rundown of possible things to consider when spending the money. I have a 16-1794 W the DLR lights, stock on my model.
    If there s a list if things I need to buy, that what’s I’m looking for...please:hattip:

    See fine print
    1794 has the same headlights jsut in chrome. It should be plug and play for him. Only sr5 would need a harness.

    You're right. I thought Ter was switching to the '18 LEDs
    My bad, @BlueBottle is right. I was thinking you were going with the LED headlights. Looks like you're considering the same lights you've got but in black in which case you wouldn't need anything.

    Yes Sir, your correct... I’m looking for 2018, black background and I like the V shape of the LED around the top and bottom
    Mine LED is only on the bottom on my truck.
    Really appreciate all the feed back and guidance from you guys. I only want to buy the right stuff once. I’m obsessing on them now... and we all know what that means....:spending:

    Sorry Ter, I'm a little confused. So, you have the halogen lights. If you go with the new style LED headlights then you need the harness from the hackster. If you're just switching to the black style of halogen light you don't need anything. But, it sounds like you're going to the LEDs. I saw them for $282 ea. at Toyota of Cool Springs. I don't know if that's a good price or not just a reference point for ya.

    Correct. The 18s have an LED DRL and LED projector headlight. Yours have the led DRL and halogen headlight.

    My wife left me home alone, so I decided to go for a drive up MET again.
    This storm is dropping a good amount of snow in the Sierras. The snow started at 3300', was sticking considerably at 4000', and was whiteout at 5500'.


    If anyone wants to go for a drive tomorrow, I might be able to be convinced to go.
