Unless I'm reading the pic wrong, That's how I had it the 1st time. Tried both 12v switch and 12v constant feeding the switch. Neither worked.20181205_201017.jpg

This looks good. Feed the switch from the fuse box. Here's the available ignition circuit fuse location. 5 amp oughta suffice.

I did and it didn't work. Also tried it straight to the battery, nothing. I thought maybe it was under pressure and the pressure switch was keeping it off so I hooked the airhose up and nothing.

That's when I began making multiple different harness setups.

Sorry I haven’t hooked up an arb yet so I would have to study the wiring first. Warren got you it looks like it.

Yeah the factory harness/instructions. Too many extra connections and wires, that's why I figured I could make my own, looked simple. Granted, a couple hours into the project I realized I had no idea what I was doing....

I might mess with it again this weekend. As long as my truck doesn't burn down between now and then....

    Again, appreciate the help.

So, the drawing I did is the ARB harness w/o the extra stuff.

That's how I built the original harness. I thought it would work but it didn't. Maybe I had a bad solder joint or something, will make another the same way when I get around to it.

Maybe a bad connection or reversed something at the relay?

Maybe. Even though it might not be 100% correct, after messing with it for 5 hours the relay, pressure switch and compressor were all working. Figured I needed to stop before I tried to wire it up with an axe.

Usually, don't need 'em if your tires are M+S. But, in extreme conditions, (Like has never happened to me) they could possibly be required. Usually the road is closed before you would need chains.

You are supposed to carry chains even if you have 4WD and M+S tires. Caltrans and CHP might technically be allowed to check that you have them, but I've never heard of that happening, they are usually busy with trucks.
You would be required to put chains on for R-3 conditions, but as Warren said the road would probably be closed before that happens.

@GodlessPro is correct that technically you are supposed to carry some with you if chain controls are in place even if 4x4. But, I’ve never been asked or checked for them and have certainly never needed them over many years. Just flash them 4 fingers at the chain inspection spot and they will wave you through.

Thanks Matt, I didn't know that technically I need to carry chains. I do carry a recovery chain;)
