I agree with you guys though. A little young and I'm sure when she gets older we are going to be doing the same things again.

It's definitely a lot of walking. Strollers are fine and there is public parking that costs money. Not as expensive as NYC, but at maybe 20+ bucks for the day, last i was in the city. There will be plenty of signs telling you where parking is. Most of the museums are in the NW side. That is also where the White House is and the Capital is at the the other end of Constitution Ave. In the middle you will find The Wall and Lincoln and a wish tree and many statues.

There are actually 2 different Air and Space museums now. One in DC and one in Virginia.

You can write a wish for Mia and stick it on the tree. Then, go back some years later to see if it's still there.

Bodie ghost town? Been on my list but haven’t been there.
Speaking of mud, took my daughter to Prairie City this weekend for some muddy fun on a bike and quad. Didn’t hit the 4x4 area but it was busy.

anyone know of any dirt roads or spots to engage 4x4 within 20-30 min of Sunnyvale / Cupertino area? I would like a spot I could go monthly to keep everything lubricated if I don't have a chance to go on a proper excursion.

You can engage 4wd on pavement. Just do it on a long straight.

I might just have to do that now and then as I'm not sure there are any legal spots close by :(

That's a bit of a jaunt (over an hour each way) when I'm short on time. I was hoping for a legal dirt road or something to explore quickly. I guess I may just have to take Joon's advice when I don't have much time.

It's a good idea to engage 4x from time to time like you said, to keep things lubed. As Joon said it's ok on a straight away, also a wet or gravel surface, something that allows the wheels to "slip" a little as they're both revolving at the same speed when cornering one wheel needs to slip. You probably already knew that though.

Nothing is legal now a days..
but if you really want to hit a dirt road. Roll by Dixon and Fremont blvd. Right across living spaces. I seen a land cruiser playing there as I as leaving work.

That would have been a score. I broke down and ordered the Southern Style bumper today. 6-8 weeks out. Really like those Warn Zeons but I just can’t justify the cost, going to go with something else...probably smittybilt x2o

Last time I went I didn’t see any signs or gates. I think the actual ghost town is open all year as well.
It’s a fun trip. Handful of trails in that area!

Same here I would do the same thing. I mean you get all the bells and whistles with the warm, price really hurts.
    Did you do 10k?

Didn’t order winch yet since bumper is a ways out. According to them the 10k and 12k warn zeons both fit but some other 12k ones don’t. I’ll do at least 10k.

10k will do! Gonna be a nice setup. Also some heavy weight up in the front. I really hope the factory suspension can keep up. I wanna do a similar setup or maybe a plated bumper.

Curious about weight also, but at least the bumper is only 60lbs. The 10k winch is another 99lbs.
