When I had my Taco I did all new calipers and pads. Next day took it in for a recall they said all your breaks and pads are shot. I had them pull a tire in-front of me he then said o we got the wrong truck hahaha last time I went there.

 

Yea I was a little suspect when they had the mileage wrong on my service order =/

Anyone have any recommendations on dealerships in the bay area for warranty work? Yelp and Google are very hit and miss.

 

I bought my Tundra in Feb 17' at Livermore Toyota and all service has been done by them and I have never had any problems with their service department.

 

city Toyota in San Bruno did my cam tower. I don’t really have complaints

 

Thanks, guys. I'll check them out. I've been to the Dublin and Oakland dealerships and they were ok but not sure if go back. Oakland I'm especially hesitant with since they told me a leaking rear differential is ok. Need to find a place that can properly diagnose and fix.

 

I live in Dublin and they’ve been pretty incompetent the few times I took my truck there. Not sure how much better Livermore is yet but I started taking my truck there.

 

X2 for Dublin. I made the mistake of stopping in there when I was looking for my truck. Horrible experience and I will never take my truck there.

I’ve had good luck with Concord Toyota. Just basic maintenance and a couple things replaced under warranty.

 

I've been looking through all the Google and Yelp reviews for all the dealerships around and they've all got their share of bad reviews. I don't mind a longer drive for a good service center but not sure where that is up here :/ Moved up from SoCal about a year ago and it wasn't hard to find a good shop, dealership or custom, down there.

 

The one time I did go to Dublin I was wandering the showroom while I waited and knew not to come back when I saw the $10k markups on Pro's and $12k up charges on aftermarket spacer lifts.

 

Well that being said i have a private warranty I had a cam tower leak and it was only one side. I went to yota with factory he told me they would do both sides and when I picked it up they only did the leaking side. If I knew that I would have gone private and had them do both. But over all I take it to non yoga shops I have a guy who was a master MAc at yota he said the dealership would make u cry if you saw what really went on and the screw ups lol

 

I was just looking at one with a TRD package and they took my keys so they could value my trade in and then they would not give the keys back. Had to yell in the middle of the showroom “Give me back my damn keys!”
