Hi, Guys! Got a possible favour to ask of you, Neighbors (tryin' to pretend we live closer than we do):

Adam @silverhack has offered me his custom painted grill (only the grill; not the surround) to install on my 3rd gen:
    IMG_5139.jpg
which would my current metal mouth:
    image.jpg

    So... a totally worthwhile venture.

He's over in Sac. I'm wondering if any one of you that plans to attend T2S... or with other reason to come south to Riverside or SD... or to wheel with anyone from down here... is willing to grab the grill and hand it off in whatever complicated hand-off can be arranged.

FWIW, I am not in any kind of hurry-- but have been lusting after this grill for many months. I'm willing to give beer money or do reciprocal favours for anyone in the delivery circle. Long shot, but asking just in case there are any hand-offs or trips already in the works, that I could get in on.

    Thanks, y'all!

This should be easy enough to do. Is it available for pickup immediately? If so I can bring it down on Friday and hand it off to @Porschetech29 or @BestGen .

Excellent! I think so. I'll confirm with @silverhack, see if he has a box or plastic to wrap it in. And I'll PM @BestGen and @Porschetech29 to see if they'll have room. :spy:, I know Francis has already committed to bring back an intake and running boards....

Or we can bury it under the rock monument and @Sunnier can dig it up when she goes to Mojave.

If you'll heat wrap to seal it from weather damage, I vote for this! What a great idea!!

Yes, I have a box for it and I’ll bubble wrap it too.
If for any reason it doesn’t work out for T2S, I’m probably driving down to Disneyland in April or May so that might be a backup option as well.

Is it ready to go? I'm headed down to Mojave on Friday, so as long as @Sunnier can work out someone for me to hand it off to I'll take it.

Yes, @silverhack has it wrapped and boxed. I just PM'd you his phone number, and am waiting to hear back from @Porschetech29 or @BestGen.

Caveat: if trucks are too full for one of them to do this on this Mojave trip, I'll be at T2S....

A good reason to try to get the Pelfrey items this trip... and try for delivery of the grill at T2S....

@Sunnier, I should have room for the Jerry can holders. Joon is right about the grill. There is a good chance it will get damaged in transit.

K, I was thinking the same. I'll ask @silverhack if he's willing to hold it another month, then hit these NorCal neighbors up again to try to pick it up for delivery at T2S.

    @GodlessPro, copy?

And that grill is YUGE!! Way bigger than you expect. When I picked mine up, I had my family in my wife’s car and it wouldn’t fit in the trunk. It barely fit in the back seat and my kids had to hold it on their laps.

I hate mud! Mostly the cleanup. If it means getting home shovel it is the a Benadryl, Advil, Tylenol cocktail.
