Me and @dcsleeper408 are thinking about hitting some trails next weekend. Haven't decided yet but either Saturday or Sunday, Oct. 28 or 29th. Going to be a day trip. We're considering Bald Mountain near Fresno, possibly Barney Riley, or maybe even somewhere down in SoCal. It's totally up in the air right now... we'll decide early next week depending on the fires and weather. Warren, Matt? @Red@9k, you're probably not ready but I added you to this list for future trips. Anyone else interested in going?

I don't think I'm available on Saturday, but Sunday might work for me. I still don't have sliders, so depending upon which trail you guys choose I might sit this one out.

What about Sierra Buttes? Easy trail. I think they're getting a little snow this week but will probably be okay by next week. I think it's probably far enough from the fires @dcsleeper408 what you think? .

I knew you guys were cooking something up,,, I can see the smoke signals from here. Oh Wait, that's the Bear fire.
Nothing like a timeline for motivating me to get the sliders installed. I'm 95% sure I can make whatever trail you guys decide.

Cool. Just be sure to get those on this weekend. I'm open pretty much anytime too so it's pretty much up to Mr. Busy. Mark.

Thanks for trying to include the "sliderless folks":anonymous:
If that trail is too boring or too quick, we can check out the start of trail #8 at the end.

    See fine print
If you go to grapevine, go to Gorman OHV off-road park. Pretty fun to mess around in. Also go to Miller Jeep Trail in Fraiser Mountain...

If we end up doing Sierra Buttes you just need to get your wheels on. It is an "easy" trail, so extra armor shouldn't be needed.

hey guys, got new suspension coming, and want to test it out. But not looking for the typical slow trails. How far do I need to go where I can find some land I can go all out on? Down in LA I could head out to San Bernadino, etc. Not sure what our equivalent is up here.

Bodie Ghost Town? I think we’re hitting a trail on Saturday if you want to come. Probably won’t be any real high speed sections but will probably open up a little bit. With a lot of slow crawling. Which suspension you get?

I think Nor-cal got a good mix of stuff.. not much for hi speed or super hi speed stuff. But you can hit a fire road at moderate speed. LA socal has a bunch of open desert etc.. Hit the dunes..
Another cool spot to catch some speed was the backside of bodie. just be careful i think there was cows crossing.. Moonrocks near reno is a cool spot as well to get some speed.
