BASTRDS are going to High Lakes Trail on Saturday, Sept. 15. It's up north near Chico, CA. It's mostly Blue (moderate) but has about a half mile section of RED (difficult). Sliders, lift and +34" tires will be a requirement. Let me know if anyone's interested in going.

Quick question guys, I am looking a portable air comp, and curious what is practically required? Higher CFM or Duty Cycle? In reality when you are sitting there at the end of the day as it's getting dark, do you want a fast filling compressor but wait between tires, or a slow filling compressor fill up 4 tires continuously?

    power tank.
but the 400p has more cfm less cycle duty. = more recharge= more time. 450p, RV is not needed.

It should take you less than 20 minutes to fill up all 4 tires. Plus the compressor takes small breaks between tires.

You first need to decide if you want On Board Air. If so, get an ARB. I have the 450P. It's only 20% slower than the 400P but has 100% Duty Cycle. So, less worries if I have to air up another truck or two.

I plan to have a portable one for now (not on board). The ARB's are much higher priced than the VIAIR but I am willing to spend the money if it's worth it. Also, I don't envision going out by myself alone, so I hope to have some one as a backup for the near future.

And, if filled with nitrogen, you could fill shocks.

Yes and yes. I've got a twin arriving, supposedly, on Monday. Mark might want the compressor and he's got dibs, just need to see how good his hand jobs are. LOL

Yeah, that didn't work out right at all. The seed was planted in my head when you asked and I did a search. Sorry 'bout that. But, technically you do have first right of refusal. You could sell the new one unopened and save some cash.
