My BFG K02's lasted a while, but the wet road performance has become dangerous. Overall I was impressed with the BFG's mileage, off-road, and snow performance.

I wanted to go back to more of an all season tire like Michelin Defender M/S 2, but I still live in an area that requires good snow/wet, and off-road performance.

    Requirements:

3 peak winter rating. Colorado has a chain law unless you have this rating.

    Towing stability

    Off-road performance loaded.

I did purchase through Discount Tire after price matching SimpleTire. 280.00 a tire.

These tires will go on around October before the snow flies.

Before winter this year I will be trying these out as well. 295/70/18. Hear great things and good reputable brand. My BFG KO2 are about cooked (yay!)

I’ve been eyeing those exact tires for a ton of reasons. Looking forward to what your experience is.

I had these on my Tacoma in 255/75 load range... P?

I have to say, these really checked a lot of boxes as far as 3PMS, wet traction, looks, price, etc..

I only had them a short time before I traded that truck in for a 2006 Tundra... But I can say that they were in fact quite good in the snow.

However, compared to the Falken AT3w in 245/75 I had before... They rode much harder and a noticable white noise loudness to them that might have gone away but certainly wasn't present in the Falkens. Was the ride and noise a deal breaker? No, but in hindsight the tread and aramid sidewall should have been an indicator.

I should note that Falkens in load P wore out so so fast.

Winter traction on my KO2s started really sucking around 25k miles. There wasn't another A/T tire that checked as many boxes as the Outposts. @blenton had some great photos in his thread which pushed me over the edge.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/outpost-nat-boo-ultraterrain-at-boo-whats-next.149651/

I bought them last spring and only got two snowy I70 days in at the end of ski season. They were solid. No issues in the recent heavy rain. A little louder than the KO2s. I've been searching for the right A/T tire for my situation and I think these are it. I bought a spare yesterday at DT.

    285/75/18.

I was planning on installing these tires in October, but with all the weather we have had lately and how poorly the KO2s perform in wet...they went on today.

    IMG_9021.jpg

128,200 miles is the starting mileage.

So far, no louder than my KO2's when new. Ride is nice.
