Noise After Shock Upgrade

    I had that issue too! Running stock +60 offset wheels with 275/65 r18 tires had no rubbing on the ski plate pre 3" lift but after the lift there was some mad rubbing. So I removed the skid plate and used a cut off wheel to make it narrower.

    Glad I’m not the only one. I’ve scoured these forums for months prior to my wheel/tire/lift upgrade and never came across anyone having this issue with stock wheels and 275/70R18 tires. Mad rubbing is a good description!

    I ordered an RCI skid plate to solve the issue and make oil changes easier!

    I installed the lift and drove it around the front yard and it made this awful grinding noise with the skid plate and the neighbor yelled out "I THINK ITS SAWZALL TIME!!!"


    Let me know how the RCI skid plate goes, that would be nice not to have to take off the skid plate each oil change.
