I have always wanted this type of battery/jump box. Is this the best option available? Also - how long will it hold a charge for ?

Since they are lithium, they can hold their charge for a while. I charged mine last year and Use it periodically to jump a car that sits most of the time. I wised up and bought a battery maintainer for that car, and will be putting this in a running car. You can also use it for light, or to charge phones via usb cable.

I'm confused... It says it can jump a car 20 times, but can only charge an iPad once? Does it use separate cells for the jumping vs charging?

I doubt it they use different cells, and i couldn't care less to tell you the truth. These will be used strictly for jumping cars and that is their main purpose. I highly recommend doing the same, as maybe whenever you'll need it for jumping, you'll regret being a fool and charging a tablet(not you). A phone in case of emergency is a different story.

I use Anker power banks when I run out and phone or tablet isn't charged.

Also, a tablet takes quite a charge. I know my iPad lasts a long time when used. All that power translating into 20 jumps sounds about right.

I bought mine off eBay, some sellers have it setup where you can make them an offer. I made an offer less than asking, they accepted...and I have been happy every since!

I was going to go that route and just wait for a 20% off coupon, but this showed up earlier.

I charged my gb70 about 3 months ago. I checked it the other day and it still shows a hundred percent after being in the back of my truck since then.

Guys, make sure you check out reviews on stuff sold on Amazon by running a a check at www.fakespot.com. A lot of these companies (Chinese) manipulate reviews to sell on Amazon. I check everything I buy.

Got the Audew yesterday and played with it just a little.

I have a dometic fridge (cfx50w). Fridge temp reading 70f. Plugged it into the Audew 12v connector, about 30min later (IIRC) fridge temp down to 39f with the jumper showing like 57% still. Max current from the fridge during cool down i believe is like 8amps. I left it plugged in and went to bed. I believe it kept the fridge at 41 (nothing in it) for a few hours.

I don't recall if the GB40 has a 12v/amp port for me to even be able to do run the fridge or similar accessories.

Got the Audew now charging so its good for me to play with some more when I get home.
