    Walmart has their brand battery 24f AGM for 150 bucks with a 5 year warranty. I’d like to buy a Northstar but at 360 bucks...

    Anyone buy the Walmart brand AGM?

    They didn’t. I’m not sure I’m worried about it though. Had the same CCA rating as the 27f. The 5 year warranty might get me.

    Yeah it looks like they have the same cold cranking amp’s as a standard 27F just not the same amount of reserve.

    This is what I use (X2 AGM) in my Jeep. When the diesel needs batteries, this is what it will get as
    well.

    So far, the X2 is the only battery I’ve had in the Jeep to hold up to the abuse and loads put on it. My Yellow top lasted a year.

    One tow bill covers a good portion of the cost. That’s how I look at it.

    Look at the one @Grumpy Uncle posted. So far he has good reviews.

    The Jeep needs a top performer due to the electric fan that I’m running. So far the alternator and all associated wiring has been upgraded.

    So do you plan on replacing after five years? Or do you wait for them to die? Is there anyway to actually tell how good the battery still is? I read something before about a guy testing each cell individually and reviving old batteries from 75% back up to 100%. It was all gibberish to me LOL

    Penrose Commons, Independence Trail system. Be there again this Sunday for another religious experience.

    The 4R (red) was on Liberty trail (easiest one out there), and he was playing around and had a "thing" happen.

    The Jeep buggy (orange) was on Patriot, in the A-Hole (yes, that is the name) and slipped a tire down where it shouldn't have been.

    Yeah my battery’s right at four years old. Starting to have concerns as I don’t want to leave me stranded in the bush. Also really wanting one of those mini portable jump starters.

    I’m going to replace when the warranty is up. Lead acid batteries don’t do well with capacity testing. It will shorten their life. You can not isolate each cell. They are internally connected and are roughly 2.2 volts per cell. So, I wouldn’t worry about maintenance unless you want to trickle charge them or add distilled water.
    I think I’m going to go x2 from Batteries plus. You can get a 20 percent off from time to time ordering online which brings that battery under 300.
    27F AGM batteries are not very common. It seems that most only produce the 24F
