I know ;) the cheapest house I found in Greeley was 120 ish. But that was in the shit stain side of Greeley, no garage and minimal parking. I paid 205 for a town home on the nice side of Greeley and in a developing neighborhood. Granted it haven't been developed in 8 years when I bought it but they just built 3 new condos and are about to start construction on a 4th. I have a 3 bed 2 1/2 bath, end unit, 2 car garage in a building of 3.
Starting price on the new ones for something similar, thought in a building of 5, is right around 260

I love working on my own stuff. Grubbing around in the dirt....not so much.....and I grew up a farmers daughter. I'd much rather ranch than farm.

Fair enough lol. I'm not a big fan of mud on my hands. Hate working on that. Now I don't care if it's on my boots, or grease on my hands, but no mud on my hands

It's not so much the dirt being on my hands.....it's the incredibly long tedious hours involved with farming.

The instant i get done working in the garage, or out on the farm, I have to wash my hands.

I'd much rather deal with animals. They are honest (unlike a lot of people). Theres way too many variables with farming.....and I don't have the greenest thumb on the face of the planet. Operating costs have gotten sky high, along with the whole GMO/organic thing. HELLO!!! EVERYTHING is GMO.

What people need to realize is that by 2050 there will be an estimated 10 BILLION people on this planet, and more recent guesses make it closer to 11 billion. We cannot create more farmland. We have to get better at utilizing what we have, which means crops with better yields/pest resistance, and animals that grow better/faster. It's on the less than 1% of us that decide to work in agriculture to practice good conservation, and use innovation and technology.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I'm good with animals....good combination if you want to ranch/manage a herd.

That's perfect. Now in a few years when yours climbs to about 350, that'll be the time for you to upgrade to one about 500. Don't get complacent in your house, you're going to have one shot to keep moving up. Once you miss the boat, you're shit out of luck. I've seen a lot of people in CA make that mistake. It literally makes the difference of ending up in a 500k home or a 1M home. Trust me, same thing's going to happen in CO.

Yeah. Every time I go home I'll bust my butt and work for my dad doing what needs to be done, but especially dry-land wheat and barley farming is not my thing.

Nope! I did everything on my driveway/small ass front porch. It is what it is....some how it came out ok.....

I parked my truck in the street to ensure i didn't paint it. and met a nice elderly neighbor who said the next time he needed work on his truck he would ask me before taking it to a shop and he would pay me in beer.
