If anyone has a recommendation for a new coil to throw on, I'd love to hear it. That's probably the route I'll go. You guys are a huge help!

I can't speak for the 2nd gens but I know that I priced out the 5100's for my 2002 and by the time I paid for new springs(they aren't cheap) and the 5100's, I felt it made more sense just to buy new coilovers. Maybe you could save some money by installing the new springs yourself but that was too dangerous for my comfort level. I feel like you'd get more lift, and enjoy the ride better if you got new CO's. I've had Icon's on my truck for about a week and love them.

To clarify, it was still cheaper to buy the 5100's and new springs, but the savings wasn't large enough for me to justify. I wanted a better ride and more off road capability so I went with Icon's. Coilover choices for my old truck are more limited so I would assume you have even more options to pick from.

@Brad1895, the OEM offroad coils for 2nd Gen are priced around $150 per coil. If you plan on doing the work yourself then that would be the route I'd take. If you plan on keeping and driving this beast till the wheels fall off, I would recommend selling your 5100's and upgrading to the 6112's/5100's. The 6112's are $700 assembled @BOSS4x4s I believe. With them preassemmbled it's less labor for you or the mechanic and worth the extra $100. Your getting a nice set up, and a good ride. Good luck and keep us posted

@Brad1895 just for reference I just went out and measured mine. They're on the middle setting and measure 22.75" from the center of the hub to the edge of the wheel well. OEM coils have 75k on them.
