No effing trans cooler?! I'm out Toyota

Of course their hoods aren’t up ..... it was the trans the failed , not the engine .

 

What this guy said! Trust him, he drives a Dodge. If anyone knows about blown transmissions it'd be a Dodge owner.

You guys are all wrong. Toyota engineers removed the cooler when they realized the truck has no payload capacity anyways

 

What you mean i can do decked storage 4 wheeler in bed full of gas tanks beer and still tow 12k and engine never gets hot!!

 

Eh, Both my brothers have brand new GM products, 1500 series. We drive in the same town on the same roads same driving habits (after all we learned to drive from the same Dad).They actually have more highway miles than I. Best mileage either of them have is 18, they average 14. Just like my Tundra and I don't have the ezgo golf cart engine shut off option to disable every stinkin' time you crank it up.

 

Well duh. Of course the ENGINE stays cool, there's still a COOLER for it!

 

The good news is the 2022 is getting a "prison wallet" storage underneath the bed like the Ridgeline.

 

Quite frankly my I like my 14 better than my 07. The small things don't bother me much.....

 

Fiat/RAM sucks....Couldn't give me one. seriously...

 

I wasn’t saying it’ll burn up like the transmission or comparing it to what the others have to offer. I mentioned it cause there are quite a few threads about how bad it is and it seems a lot of people recommend replacing it and the entire jbl system if you care about sound quality.

There’s a lot of people who think Toyota can do no wrong and don’t want to hear examples where Toyota might have cut corners.

 

I agree when u set up the other models to be comparable to the tundy gas mileage goes out the window

That was back when it needed one. The same transmission doesn’t need it now.

Mine only gets hot pulling a grade.

I put bigger tires on the back so I'm always going downhill and that solved it.

 

You sir, are a freakin' genius and may have won the day. I'm scanning Craigslist for a good deal on tractor tires.

 

Yeah, understand, since the next time I will Tundra shop will be 2033, I'll just keep watching this thread. If the door purses don't come back, I'm out.
