I heard global warming is actually caused by 19-21 tundra transmissions, just a rumor

It should have come with a cooler. It’s a fail from Toyota. I’m a Toyota fanatic. I’ve owned many. But, if they don’t continue to excel in what makes them so good (reliability) while also keeping up with what the market demands I will put other manufacturers on the radar.

You can’t reasonably call it a fail by Toyota until/unless transmissions fail because of the lack of an external cooler. That has yet to be documented. If any auto manufacturer has earned the benefit of the doubt, it’s Toyota.

    Well, I can if I believe it’s a fail. And I do.

I don’t understand how you can reasonably say I’m not being reasonable. Or is that your opinion? Much like my post was.

I smell a conspiracy theory. Toyota want us to cook our transmissions, so we will lose confidence in them... so we will purchase another.... Toyota? My head hurts.

Exactly. Their 5.7 generation tundra is so reliable they are afraid we will not need the new one.

I cannot think of how many times I have undercut the manufacturers recommendation: change oil every 5k miles - I do it at 3k and sometimes sooner. This situation is about an assumption that has yet to play out. I cannot imagine anyone getting excited about going to the dealership to discuss a warranty claim. I've got better things to do. Do manufacturers make a mistake - ever heard of a recall? I installed the cooler and I am moving on. I put my feeble little brain to work and think it's the best decision. I don't mind spending the money even if Toyota should have done this, and far cheaper. What really keeps me up is did they do anything else that I cannot see - or don't know right now. Doesn't matter, at the rate I'm driving.....about 50 miles a month, I'll be dead before my Tundra.

There’s no reason to be ugly. A difference of opinion doesn’t mean that I’m right or he’s wrong, it just means we have a different take on this issue. I may be a bit of a crotchety old bastard, but I’m not a complete asshole.
