Sorry, not sure I understand. Which shocks are you referring to that had 90k KMs (56k miles) on them?

You may want to talk to thenm about their ETA. Last time I spoke with them a few weeks ago, they had a 6 month wait for Kings.

You're lucky bro. I have so many expensive hobbies, it's hard to allocate money because more than one always needs attention.

EVERYONE is backordered on shocks right now. A lot of people's budgets have shifted due to Covid shutdowns and restrictions. People aren't traveling and eating out and doing the old stuff, so they are replacing those activities with broverlanding/off-roading. Add on that reduced supply due to lower manufacturing and you have a long wait time.

I read a story about someone who owned a watercraft sales business. When the shutdowns happened, he pre-emptively laid off some staff and gave them a severance with the plan to re-hire them after the shutdowns ended. Something like 2 months later, he was begging them to come back because of all the business walking in the door. Now boats are backordered as well. Those that never even thought of buying a boat before were walking into his shop ready to drop coin. We're seeing the same thing with the automotive aftermarket industry.

total truth here. We have a camper but was going to upgrade this year prior to covid. Once it hit, the prices for new ones went up and supplies went down. We could sell our current one for several grand more now than last year - this never happens with campers. decided to just keep what I've got so I can put more money into the truck.

I may go with the OME or Toytecs based on that note above from Bilstein. Sounds more like they have no idea and the line is long anyway.

I had 6112 ordered at two different place since October. (Canceled one tried another company) Truck has been on jack stands for 2 months. I finally said screw it. I ordered Fox 2.0 through Headstrong Off Road. $900 for the pair, IN STOCK LOL, cheapest on the internet, believe me I searched for an hour. Everyone else is at 960$ - 980. Comes assembled, free shipping , no tax. The guy I was speaking with said he expects their price to go up soon. I know I spent over $200 more over the Bil's but I couldn't wait any longer. I am in Ohio and need my 4x4.

IMHO, 2.0s are a bit small for Tundra that wheels. Just my opinion. It's a heavy truck and you are already investing 900, might as well kick it a nickle for 2.5s.

Fox 2.0, again IMO, are a rather large downgrade from 6112s. They are, again just my opinion, a glorified/rebuildable 5100. And 5100s come with a lifetime warranty so the rebuilable part is moot.

Anyone hear of recent updates on availability? May decide to go another route but I was wanting to try the 6112.

I’ve been happy with the 5100’s on my 06’ Tundra but the 2nd/3rd gen are quite a bit heavier and I think need a heavier shock like this.

My 6112s and 5160s will come up for sale in two weeks. 10k on the 6112s and 7k on the 5160s.

Dobinsons or Ironman's would be an really good alternative to the bilsteins if you can't get them. I have the bilstein set up but have thought about getting the dobinsons instead.

I got the email as well. Looks like down to only 1-2 combos already (must only take orders for certain amount in each assembled pair)

I’ve already pulled the trigger on another option that’s not well tested but willing to try and give feedback.

Not sure. I have had 6112/5160s, went to Dobinsons IMS, and now on my way back to 6112/5160. I have the 5160s, but I need to get a new pair of 6112s. I paid way way too much to some guy on ebay, but was wondering if I could pair the Toytec Boss Aluma with 5160s. Anyone have info on that?

How would you compare the Dobinsons to the 6112s? Any reason you don't want to go back to the Dobinsons?

I just really like Bilstein 6112s lol. They make a fine tuned product for the Tundra. I also like that their HQ is in the town I grew up in.

Thanks to this thread I actually got the last set of 6112s from State48 though. Super cool guys. Now just returning my way overpriced Ebay 6112s.

Just when you think a decision is made up someone goes and throws more options out there. I had made up my mind on Eibach Stage 2s but now I'll have to wait and see what this looks like.

I lucked out today and found a stage 5 icon for 4000. They didn’t have the regular 2.5 coil over res but threw in the adjustable one. I know that feeling, I’ve been looking for new suspension for monthssssss. You gotta keep calling around like an addict. Good luck man
