Welcome. How do you keep your black truck clean (they look very clean in all your pictures). Good looking truck. I personally like chrome, but I do think your truck looks better with the top chrome blacked out.

bed rug is a closed-cell polymer.. I doesnt hold water.. it runs off... Other nice thing is the paint on bed, facing the bed rug is protected by foam. If water does get on the back side it breathes to get rid of the water so your paint will not rust...

Fading from the sun.. It would take years of HOT HOT sun to break it down... if my memory is correct.. (anything in the hot sun will break down over time)

they have a limited lifetime warranty on the bedrug...

Edit: good looking truck man... and welcome to tundras..

    Exhaust:

I am thinking of getting dual exhaust customize cut outs thru the rear bumper.....4-4.5" outlet.....
Muffler will probably be Magnaflow series 40-50....

    Thoughts?

    Hey Mike
The reason for a bigger size outlet is to make it mean looking. After talkin to Specialize Exhaust owner, 4" will be the biggest I will run....

Watch out i will give you a heads up.. The newer ecm.. Mod csuviper and few other have found out about exhaust upgrades.. there has been a few threads on this issue and really no work around... In one thread i went into great detail on stuff.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/p0101-trouble-code-engine-code.1201/#post-18188
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/check-engine-light.848/#post-16410

Fyi... be very careful on opening exhaust diameters too much... IF you open x diameter say one inch you slow the flow rate down by 1/3 by example... While that doesnt sound like much to the engine it will see it.. Reason is simple... Hot exhaust needs to flow though the system without slowing down.... When you put a bigger pipe on the engine you really SLOW down the exhaust ( and by cooling it faster) making it harder to push out the pipe... (diesel engine is different do to difference in fuel and the rate it expands compared to gasoline engines)

That said the ECM im willing to bet will pick up the error from the pipe.... Todays ecm no matter how makes them toyota, GM, ford, who ever, the ecms today are very very aware of there sensors today unlike my 95 tacoma or my 03 tundra... The fresh rate on the 07 plus and im willing to bet 15 and beyond has a HIGH HIGH refresh rate which means it will catch it... Ecm today are tuned to todays exhaust, so just alittle swing one way or the other can lead to problems down the line.. Not saying you get some you do have that chance..
When i did the upgrade on my tundra ( waiting on the :crapstorm: now from people) i went with borla. reason simple it keep the same lines as factory. the tip is bigger engine is pushing maybe 6 inches vs say 4 feet from muffler to tip if you open up say 1 inch of cooled down exhaust. That said if your heart is set on 4 diameter keep the length as short as you can.. cooler the exhaust the engine must work harder to get rid of it...

I have near heard anything bad about borla sean.. not just on toyota trucks, im talking some very high end cars also coming from germany like porsche,,bmw, and others not one have i seen a ecm problem or error.. the higher end american sport cars like the vette i have not heard any issues with them...

my 03 tundra has it and no problems no ecm lights nothing.. i have did some testing on my own with my scan tools on the 02 sensors, funny part before and after is about the same when it comes to voltage and % a/f mixture on O2 downstreams. ..... .. .. it been on it for over 2 plus years..

IMO: borla has done there homework i will give them credit there.. a full exhaust system from them would be worth it... My tacoma has jba system heads to tail nice but i hate to say it the borla beats it hands down....

Corsa is like borla in many ways they keep there designs simple and they do there homework.. I have not hear anything bad about corsa either they have been around for years.
