Hello everyone! I'm new to the web site and am looking for a wiring solution for keeping my 2016 Tundra panel lights on during the daytime without the headlights or parking lights on. The dash instruments are very recessed and sometimes hard to see during daylight hours. Honestly this is the first Toyota that I have owned that does not backlight the instrument panel continuously and I really miss this feature. The older Tundra that I had and the 4Runner that I still own both have this feature. Has anyone figured out a way to rewire these panel lights to operate independently from the headlights? Thanks!!

Looking for same. Both my Tacomas were always backlit. I wrote an email to Toyota CS. Not sure they fully understood the issue. They replied with how to dim the lights with the trip knob. Wrote back and told them I know how and not the problem. Never heard back.

I looked into it last year, staring at wiring diagrams and schematics from TIS and it doesn't appear to be as simple as finding a wire and applying ignition voltage. I gave up!
