Honestly . . . I'm old and I can't think of anything from the factory I would like on my 2006 DC 2wd.
I guess the seats aren't the most comfortable . . . but my fat ass could always lose weight and solve that problem.

I thought about reskinning the fabric on mine to black, but then my dog hair will be all over it. Camo wouldn't be a bad move at all but the plastic in mine is light grey and that doesn't work well. Kind of wish mine was tan inside rather than grey.

I actually think the seats in my truck are some of the most comfortable of any vehicle I've ever owned. The leather seats in the DC I drove were way too firm.

I actually added a power drivers seat to my 01 sr5. All I needed to do was tap 2 wires into the power windows to get 30a for the seat. Has been working great for a little over a year. I love the lumbar.

I can't find the clip of it, but when Mike Rowe was doing dirty jobs he went to San Fran to pick up used mattresses. There's a segment of him talking to the normal guy about years of dead skin being deposited into the mattress. Oh, and years of farts just power slammed in there. :D

Cloth seats are for fart packing! Or filtering the fart. Leather seats are for spreading the fart round the cab.

    Cloth seats for the win!

Did you have to replace the entire seat or were you able to get a track/chassis on it's own?

I actually just talked to an upholstery shop yesterday, just to get an idea since I have no clue. He wanted $350 PER DOOR to replace the fabric with vinyl. F that. Anyhow, some day I want to do it with something more durable and that I can easily clean. I also have daydreams about re-making the door entirely to create better storage space and all, once I get back into a workspace with a Shopbot or vacuum former or something.

As for the OP question, the only things I regularly miss are:

-Steering wheel controls for radio, etc. The wife's "new" 2019 Honda HR-V could launch a rocket from her steering wheel.
-Dual-zone climate control so I can have AC blasting on my side and wife can bake on her side and we can have a thunderstorm where the weather systems collide in the middle.

I'd also love it if all the buttons and dash weren't 1990s-era oval design like a turd-shaped Ford Taurus. (Sorry any Taurus fans out there.) There's a bunch of other stuff - adjustable lumbar support would be good, and, here in Arizona, cooled seats and steering wheel - but for a lot of it I still hear my dad's voice saying "it's just more stuff to go wrong".

Awesome, I've got an LS430 too, that shares space in the garage with the Tundra.

I have also added navigation, a backup camera, new speakers, and a few other hidden amenities.
I actually prefer my cloth seats. My wife has leather seats with seat warmers. The warmers never get used and I always look for an excuse to drive my truck instead of her car.
I would like steering wheel controls for my radio. I had them on my last truck and did enjoy them. I also liked my GMC cruise control. Each press of the accelerate button was good for 1 mph. It made it real easy to adjust exactly how much you wanted going down the highway.

You do know you can do the same with the cruise control on the Tundra? Tap it up to add 1 mph and tap it down to slow by 1 mph.

Mine doesn't seem to work like that, at least for accelerating. I really have to hold it up for a moment to increase speed at all. Slowing down is something of a crap shoot too. Seeing your post, makes me wonder if my cruise control is worn out somehow...

Can confirm a tap up or down on my Tundra is good for about a 1mph change in speed. Also found out today that pulling the lever towards me cancels the CC but doesn't shut it off. Never realized that until today when I saw the arrow and the word CANCEL. I was always pushing the on/off button on the end to "cancel" but that just shut it off.

If you use cancel, you can then use resume (or if you tap the brake) and it’ll go back to the speed you had set

As for new features.. I added what I want. Still more to come later down the line. But modern factory radio, done. Front and rear camera? Done, turn signal lane change setting, added. Navigation (can be added if i find a module (easy) steering audio controls? Done...

Coming eventually is having the seats redone in leather, with heaters, Find a way to fit power folding mirrors, and maybe, just maybe. Attempt to add some fancy interior lighting (soft glow cup holder lights, ETC.)

What’s cool is if you hit cancel and keep the speed above 20mph??? (I believe) you can re-engage the cruise and have it accelerate back up to speed. I’ve done this when entering a cloverleaf off-ramp to get back on and merge with the intersecting highway.

I had to buy a whole new seat, got one from a junkyard a few hours away from me for $92. You might be able to go for a track/chassis, but my old seats were worn down and smelled like pot because of the previous owner so I just went for the whole swap.

Interior- I did leather with heat and I love it. I will still likely replace the bottom foam and it will be even better.
I did the @Professional Hand Model washer under the front seat mount mod. My seats are comfy.
I wouldn't mind cooled seats though.
I want black carpet. Last I checked it was nowhere to be found for a dc or expensive. Seemed to recall it was cheap for an ac though.
If toyota hadn't wasted all the storage under the rear seat that would have been awesome.

Driveability- More power would be nice.
I did a camera and that helps with parking and especially now with dark tint and a shell.
A 6 speed or better trans would be nice.
I love the digital speed readout on my wife's mb.
I want navigation badly. Might have to bribe the wife into that one soon.
Auto bright or steering headlights would be awesome. Really seems like there should be an aftermarket solution for auto brights.
Blind spot alert would be awesome. I've seen some aftermarket stuff with mixed reviews. Mixed enough to discourage me.

If your up for a lot of headaches figuring it out, your truck likely has a steering angle sensor (if you have. VSC.) tapping that system and getting a little board to read the output and in turn turn on a relay to powers some Cornering lights is very possible.

But that is above my head.

That's a good point. I was thinking about how to do a trim on the projectors with a servo. I didn't think about the turning lights. I guess I was just stuck on the lights actually turning, but just smaller lights aimed outwards would do the trick too. Might have to look into that if I lose enough weight to chug a couple red bulls and get super tweaker motivated.
