Visit the TrueCar website and enter the information for your truck and your zip code. TrueCar will tell you what the average sales price was for trucks similarly equipped in your area. I used it when I bought my truck and it saved me a lot of back and forth hassle with the dealer as well as about $4,500 off the MSRP.

MSRP 43,429.00 Probably to much but according trueCar I got a great deal. With that said, I have not had a new vehicle in 18 years so a lot has change. One thing I noticed, what ever price you finalize on, someone will always say they got a better deal. If the truck is good and you feel that the price is right then make the deal. Remember you are not buying from the big three where a 44K truck will be marked down to 36k.

    Welcome!
Thank you for your service sir!!

I would go used IMO. You always get a better deal with used vehicles than you do brand new. But then again, you could wait a couple of months and take advantage of the markdowns when the 17's come out.

true, im gonna throw 43,000 at them and not go more than 43,500, ive bought a few from them in the past, as has my gf, 5- 4runners, so im sure theyll do it. They have bills to pay also, not a volume dealer by anymeans.

As Law pointed out, the 2017's will be out soon so the dealer may be motivated to deal on the 2016. You may even want to start the negotiation a little lower than $43K. You can always come up but it is hard to come down....

I installed one in my 2015 but haven't towed anything with my truck yet. There have been a number of complaints filed so we will have to see what Toyota does about it. I would probably opt for a competitor such as a Prodigy at this point until they get the OEM version figured out. Maybe @Roman has heard an update on the Toyota controller..
