I’m new here and excited to join the fam. I just picked up my first truck, 2016 Tundra CM 4x4 in blazing blue pearl a few weeks ago and I’m loving it!

My plan is to do a overland style build that is good for 80% on road use. It will be a long process as I am not the wealthiest guy on the block, but excited to have a new creative outlet.

First thing I plan to do is do some de-chroming. Not a big fan of all the chrome on the grille, not a terrible look but not for what I want. Any input on best place to get color matched grille would be warmly welcomed! I’m in the north Atlanta area.

    Here is my ride:

Also, I would recommend debadging if you haven't already thought about it.

I will either do that or replace with black pro badging. Not sure if I want all the black though…

    Was it easy to remove?

Yes, although the engine badge takes time. The entire badge has adhesive on it, so take your time and get it heated well before removing.

The color matched grill can be had from sparks parts, but I ended up getting mine from my local dealer, they charged me $10 more than sparks without their shipping costs. So I came out ahead and had it in 3 days.

Also, don't spend the money on those pro badges, painters tape, newspaper, and plastidip. As long as you have about 5-6 layers it will hold up just fine and cost you like $8. There's a video on YouTube about it, I did mine and they've held up fine and you'd never know it was from factory that way
