New Tundra owner

    Greetings everybody, I recently purchased a 2008 Regular Cab 4x4 Tundra. It has an amazing 5.7L V8 that never disappoints and rides like a dream. Funny enough, the mileage was not much worse than my I4 Tacoma. I've had it for about a month now and the only modifications I've done were to dump the 20" wheels. It's now running on OE 18" wheels and LT265/70R18 BFG A/T tires.







    Short-term modifications:

    • New rear bumper
    • Glass mat battery
    • Trailer brake controller
    Long-term:

    • Two or three inch suspension lift
    • Some other stuff I'll think of soon...


    Here's the Tacoma I had; it was very reliable and did well off-road but the 4 cylinder and 4-speed automatic transmission combo was unimpressive.

    For any who are interested, I've taken many videos and pictures of the trails that I've gone through and have posted some on my blog. Most were taken in California but a few are from Arizona. I hope to see you on the trail!

    Welcome to the forum. Nice RC. That must be a BEAST with 5.7. Supercharge it and you could easily embarrass muscle car owners at tracks.
