    Hey guys,

My name's Dave and I've been on the Tacoma forum for awhile. Just purchased a 2015 CrewMax Platinum in Bronze today. Should receive it next week. Future mods for the Tundra are:

Pro grille insert with letters painted body color
Door handles painted to body color
    M/T wheels
    New Tires
2.5" Lift (probably just do the new Blisteins, my OME is sagging after 100k which is to be expected)
    AFE CAI
    Doug Thorley L/T's
Borla Cat Back or Corsa undecided...

Really not much needs to be done to the truck. They come well equipped.

My Tacoma has 187k with the following mods: OME 3" lift with 886 springs, ARB front bumper, Katskinz Leather, Heated Seat Mod, Borla Exhaust, Doug Thorley L/T, ARE Shell, TRD CAI, custom 17" drop down flat screen, JL Audio Shallow mount, 500w and 400 w amps, Kenwood 9960, M/T Sidebiters with 265/75/16 and the BHL Mod using TSR's Lexus lamps. I'm keeping the Tacoma, love it too much.

Oh if anyone is local to Atlanta I'm ASE certified in paint and bodywork and have everything needed to professionally paint door handles and grilles to match the vehicle. I work at a hot rod shop where we produce national show winners. I do sheet metal fabrication and welding there but at home also do paint and body. Reason I say local is I normally do a 3 panel spray out pattern to compare to the original color to get the best match.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone has.

Thanks. Here's a pic of the Tacoma after an ice storm. I can't wait to receive the Tacoma. Already ordered some standard black door handles, the grille, weathertechs and a Fumoto valve.1625543_774630872566896_1527496509_n.jpg

Welcome and congrats on your new ride... I'll let new know how the AFE CAI is. I talked to them over there and got confirmation that the Momentum 2 (07-14) had been tested on a 15 and is good to go. I'll be trying out the Throttle body spacer also. Between the 2, it'll have to be this "NOW" Poorman's Supercharger! I'm installing tomorrow.

    That's the wife's. It's a 2007 Plum Crazy Purpler SRT8, number 27 of 300. It's her daily driver. Except I think she's going to steal the Tundra. I'm also currently working on a 70 C10 doing an LS1 swap.

Thanks Relentless. Looking over your shop, nice work. I do sheet metal fabrication for a hot rod restoration shop. Mainly working on cars from 30's - 60's, hammer dolly work, welding panels, fitment which normally means cutting down and/or adding metal. Looking at your DIY Tacoma rear bumper kit. I have a plasma and MIG setup at home but not the time to take measurements. May have to get that kit. You guys got anything in the works for a Tundra front/rear bumper set up?

The Tundra arrived today. Love the black leather platinum interior with the brown. Also glad the bumper cover and grille surround is color matched. I get to enjoy it for a week and then I'm gone for work for a few months. When I return I'll do the Truxedo Deuce, Toyota Front Grille with lettering color matched to body, door handles color matched to body as well as mirror covers. I'll go to an 18" wheel and more meat on the tires. The wife likes the stock running boards but I'm a rock slider fan. So if I keep the boards, I'll remove them, detrim and paint them matte black with epoxy with a UV protection. Trying to decide on the Camburg lift. I love how it rides stock, love the look of my Tacoma but it doesn't ride as smooth as this. I've got a few months to decide. Finally, the speakers need work. I have JL Audio speakers in the Tacoma with the JL shallow mount sub and a Mr. Marv box and it sounds beautiful. Just can't get over tearing into these doors yet. Love the room and the features. Such a great purchase. Tomorrow I'll change fluids at 50 miles and detail it with a clay bar and sealer properly.

Maybe it's the angle, but the color looks different from any I've seen. Beautiful truck!

Yeah it look different in different lights at different angles. I'm happy with it more after today. I washed it with Dawn to strip the dealer wax, then used a mild clay bar on the whole thing. It was relatively smooth to begin with but the clay bar still pulled some contaminants and made it very smooth. Then two coats of a sealant with one coat of wax. After the wax cures overnight, I'll do another coat tomorrow but here it is now. No swirl marks, no holograms and only a couple spider webs that my guess would be from the dealer because I microfiber it and dry it with compressed air. I literally treat this thing like how we do at the shop with restoration paint jobs.

And thanks guys for all the compliments. I'll definitely be going with some new wheels and tires and the TRD Pro grille. I leave for oversea's work on Monday so I can't start anything else on it. Color matching the grille and door handles will be hard because this metallic has so many variables. This is the most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned. Love it.

Thanks man, I looked at the dark silver and black but then saw this bronze and I was talking to the wife how I wanted to do a 54 Chevy 5 window in a root beer color and this is the same color I wanted. Love it.
