I did but it was messing with my instrument cluster behind the wheel... stating I needed to refuel. As soon as I removed it from the kenwood gauges it self resolved to accurate numbers.

Any fix? Is this an issue with the 906S? Or was the install wiring wrong or something? Thanks

I haven't tried wireless carplay yet, since I never installed a GPS antenna (or hooked up the OEM antenna). That said, the volume issue was easily rectified by pushing the volume up while the turn-by-turn directions are active. It treats that as a separate "audio source" with it's own separate volume level. That said, I'd still like it a bit louder than where it is even at the max setting. There are other source volume "offsets" in the settings, but I can't seem to find any that increase the volume of phone-based audio any more than where it is at currently.

I have a potential deal on a 706 instead of the 906 and it seems the only real difference is wireless versus plug-in CarPlay. I’m wondering if this would bother me or not?

I might've went a little crazy...I have spec'd out for replacing HU, all speakers, door dampening, amp, and subwoofer behind rear seat. Felt cute, might just go for it LOL.

no major issue. Resolved by removing the Bluetooth connections to my phone completely. I also moved the mirror device button so I never touch it because that is what caused the glitch. Have not had connection issues since. Never hit mirror device! It will cause the issue.

as far as wireless car play, I have used it some but usually when I’m in the car I plug in my phone to charge anyway. However, it’s nice being able to leave the phone in your pocket and start music or maps immediately while not having to take tour phone out. Just my experience so far.

myth increasing the gain via maestro settings and via the audio settings. May help some. Otherwise, for me with increases on gain, it seems to be loud enough for me, but I have young kids so it’s not typically that loud with them in the car anyway. Still would like more bump from the sub.
