Well, after 20 plus years of owning Fords I bought a 2015 Tundra. Not any Tundra, but one of those TRD Pro's. I traded a 2014 F150 with a Ecoboost, and though its a great truck, it simply does not compare to the Tundra. The 150's do have pretty good gas mileage, but reliability and the way Toyota stands behind their trucks is far more important to me.

I am 45 years old, and had thought that my days of modifying my trucks was over, but this truck has given me some serious motivation. I am hoping to get some guidance in that area from this forum.

Welcome to the forum. That's one beautiful truck. Congrats. I wanted to see a Pro in person, but my local Toyota dealer can't keep them long enough on their lot for me to be able to see.

Thanks! I saw one at a local dealer a couple months ago and a few hours latter it was gone. This past weekend I went to another dealer because we were thinking about an SUV and the dealer had just taken delivery of this TRD Pro. They were getting ready to take a deposit on the phone from another guy and I beat the guy to the deal. Kind of feel bad for the other guy, but not as bad as I would have felt if I missed out on the deal.

Sweet ride. Just joined the Tundra family as well. I am loving the truck and this forum. Tons of knowledgeable people who will definitely steer you in the right direction.

Welcome from NV!! Thats a nice canvas to start modding on ;) There are a couple guys with pros that have just added 295/70r18s and it makes a HUGE difference... Good luck and feel free to ask questions.

Thanks..Any idea which brand and model tire they are using? The tires on the Pro are decent, but they do look like they belong on another truck..

    Welcome!
You can probably choose just about any tire with the size mentioned above. I believe some had to either trim, or remove their mud flaps.

I have seen a few using Toyo MTs and Nitto trail grapplers... The toyos are a bit more pricey but the reviews are really good. Also, if you aren't off road much, the Terra grapplers or the Toyo ATs would be a good option... But like @Sean266 said...there are a ton of options that would work for you with just some minor trimming and removal of the front mud flaps.

Thanks. I am not an "offroader", but I do go off road when we hunt, fish and camp. I don't commute, but the mountains and beach are 125 miles out. That being said, want something that look great, and performs well on and off the highway. I have heard good things about the Toyo's and BFG mud terrains on my Wrangler, so I think I will start there.

    Thanks!

Nice truck for sure. My dealer said their Pro's are usually presold and never even make it to the showroom.

I had no idea that these trucks were so hard to come by, and it really seems that I really got lucky showing up at the dealer when I did. :)

Welcome from Rock Thrill SC, that's a sweet truck. I have a 2015 and I put 295/70/18 and like Sean226 said I had to take them little front mud flaps off and the small inner well part behind the fog lights. That's with a 3" front lift and I did a 2" rear spring. Like most ppl on here I have the Nitto Terra Grappler G2's.

Are you exposing your fog lights or you just talking about the bottom small flaps. I'm looking at getting the same tire, but I have my hids behind them along with the ballast. Don't want to have that area open to debris or something. Just curious thanks

Yeh the back of mine are exposed but that's cause I didn't want to cut an area out. I have heard of some ppl using a heat gun and basically pushing the area in as it softness.
