You must be idling on a flatbed trailer while someone else pulls you everywhere you want to go.

I get right at 15 hand calculated in my 16 leveled on 295/60r20's. Dash will read right at a mpg low due to tire size.
I compared the odo to my handheld GPS and the odo reads 1/10th slow.
I drive only interstate and 2 lane Hwy. Towing my bass boat I get 9.

I'm talking about my Monster consumption while driving because there is no frucking way we can STILL be talking about the gas consumption of this truck.

Well technically the title doesn't specifically reference Miles Per Gallon of any specific liquid. :boink:

And in MY new TO ME Tundra my MPG in MONSTERS is as stated above in my previous post.

wElL tEcHnIcAlLy, your Tundra doesn’t run on Monster drinks and therefore can’t have an MPG of Monster drinks. The only fluid your truck consumes on a MPG basis is gasoline. Thus, the thread title IS specific.

Well technically your wrong yet again . Last I checked TECHNICALLY your truck consumes per every 7,500 miles, 2.125 gallons of oil. So that comes to what? Like 3500 miles to a gallon???

:benchpress: we can go on with different fluids. Brake fluid, Diff oil, radiator fluid. Hell I'm sure there's someplace with a mileage designator for windshield wiper fluid. Not technically specific thread is technically not specific.

My truck doesn't burn oil. What's wrong with yours?

Consume and burn are who different things. Consume just means "to use", in this case a resource. And I'm specifically using Tenderr's logic and terms.

Consume does not mean to simply use. It means to use UP. As in, “to destroy or expend by use”.

Assuming your truck doesn’t burn oil and has no leaks, the only tank that gets depleted as your truck propels you down the road is your fuel tank. Your diffs, TC, trans, brake fluid, coolant, and motor oil pan are not going to go dry if you fail to add more fluid from driving down the road like your fuel tank. If they do, you have bigger problems than misunderstanding the word “consume”.

Thus, once again, the only fluid your truck consumes on an MPG basis is gasoline. Thread is still specific.

Using your language and Webster's definition of Consume: "to exhaust of strength or useful properties". The viscosity of the oil in your truck is used up per Toyota at 7,500 miles.

Therefore I'm still right. Your a consumer and your truck consumes more liquids than just gas.

Non specific thread is still technically not specific.

Ohhh, I see what you did. The Merriam Webster definition for consume has nothing about “exhaust of strength or useful properties”. That’s the definition of use up, which can be a synonym for consume in the context of time management, as in “writing responses to forum trolls consumed much of his time...” Notice how the time is gone...it is not merely exhausted of its strength or useful properties. Use up is even listed as a lesser transitive definition of consume, but again relating to the context of time.

Posting the definition of one term as if it is the definition of another term that can be a synonym in a specific but unrelated context is dishonest.

Context matters. Everyone knows what is specified in the thread title. Good day. :hattip:

OP, I’m currently getting high 13s combined.

Lol. You referenced USE UP as a "depletion" to try and debunk my argument. TECHNICALLY you do use up the viscosity of the oil, but whatever let's skip that relevant part.

So I get the definition of USE UP to prove your statement false. Your rebuttle above although clever is not accurate. Time only? Here is the kids definition to make things a little easier.. 1 or 3 apply here. Funny how #3 is not just time based. Trucks consume oil.

Just making sure the history here is clear.. You started this interaction with your passive aggressive post in response to my ridiculous comment in 1 of the 79371529 MPG threads in this forum. :1up:

I am going to go consume some food. I know per your definition that's not possible (cause you discharge the food after use). But I think we will have to agree to disagree here.

I tell people that my Tundra consumes gas at about the same rate that a sailor drinks beer on a 2 day shore leave. And it's worth it.

There was nothing passive aggressive about my first comment. I was only being silly, as I had assumed you were being.

This isn’t hard, man. When EVERY MECHANIC says your truck is consuming oil, THE ONLY THING they mean it’s burning it up into fumes the same way it does your gasoline.

    Examples of consume:
—Gasoline. When your fuel tank is empty, that’s because the gas was burned up and no longer exists => The gas has been consumed. (Transitive def #1 in your screenshot).
—Food eaten. It’s gone. What comes out no longer exists as food for you. You’ll get very sick if you try to eat what comes out. Thus, the food no longer exists => It was consumed. (Transitive def #2).
—Spent time or electricity. They no longer exist => They were consumed. (Transitive def #3).

Example of something NOT being consumed:
—Your truck’s various lubricants. They get changed out. They can be drained and sent in for recycling/refining at intervals set by Toyota. This is precisely because they have not been consumed. They still exist.

    This is my final response.

It drops about 2-4mpg in the winter months or on super windy days.

Love the tow mirrors on his truck. Dodge ram owners are probably scouring the web for those right now. It's like a mass frenzy.

Having owned a 2010 and now a 2019, Best I ever ran was 19.1 and I never let the truck get past 55 mph. I guess maybe 21 is possible if you are only driving 50 with a wind at your back and no hills.

I don't pass gas stations. It like when my mom sees a casino on the horizon.

My drive to work this morning (58 miles on the HWY) driving 65mph gave me 20 mpg. Nice and warm and no wind.

Seems like the mileage is getting better overall as the truck wears in. The first two dots were all highway from nebraska to NM. The 19.2 was all highway miles as well from Arizona to NM. Everything else was mostly city. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

    THAT is your historical mileage.

I get 17 no matter what I do.

I am applying the Harrop remedy to my high MPG in 2 weeks.

LOL, I can't get 12mpg (11.8) no matter what I do, but she's "lifted and gifted" as the local trucks' only shiller says. I have the luxury of working from home (pre-covid work from home) so I also have the luxury of not having to have a commuter vehicle. She's just for hauling, hunting, and looking pretty.
